SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME! I had virtual appointments that I never ever missed or was late to. They are SUPPOSED to send out a link in email or text to access your appointment. (I did not get one) I tried calling the office no response. They would not return my voicemail and ignored me for days. Just to charge me $200 for "not showing up". I can't get my medicine because of this twisted greedy company. Not to mention emailing Admin was the most disrespectful encounter I've ever experienced.

Your description of what transpired is partially correct...you did attempt to contact us regarding the appointment, but not until after the time of the appointment. A (courtesy) appointment reminder was sent three days before the appointment via email (which contained a link to the appointment), in addition to the appointment link that was sent via text 30 minutes prior to the appointment. You confirmed the correct email and phone contact info. You did not sign into the appointment or attempt to contact us prior to the time of the appointment. Your screenshot of your phone call confirms that you attempted contact AFTER the time of the appointment. Communication of these facts is not disrespectful, but we understand that your perception is your reality. We do not charge $200 for a missed appointment. We have attempted to work with you for resolution. We sincerely wish you well moving forward.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

I am so shocked and disappointed in this facility. I was hopeful to be getting my teen daughter some very much need of mental health support. We first saw Ms. Marya Wright, she did well our first visit, the second visit I explained my daughter was having an emotional breakdown and I wanted to give them some privacy to talk, no sooner did I walk out to the car my daughter came crying and I asked what happened? She said Ms. Marya said she had another client coming in and would see her in 2 weeks. REALLY???? This is how you help. So I advocated for my daughter to switch to another person so we scheduled zoom appointment with Ms. Erma Gatica, that appointment was even worse. Ms. Gatica did a very quick assessment and kept reminding us we were not supposed to meet for 1 hour, my daughter was getting confused on questions and asked for explanations which she hurriedly replied. After less than a hour she diagnosed my daughter with PTSD and stated she had traits of "multiple personality disorder" but could not officially diagnose her until she turned 18 years old. My daughter suffers from anxiety and depression and you best believe after we left this appointment she was devastated and felt defeated. I could not believe this person could reach these diagnoses in less than 1 hour and never had met my daughter before. Since this appointment I have canceled all future services. I attempted to call and discuss my concern and left 3 voice messages and yet to be called to discuss. Today I was called and person stated Ms. Gatica is no longer with them and when I went into details about my concern, the person said each provider has their own way of dealing with clients and never even acknowledge my concerns or apologized for the horrible experience we had. This is so very sad for me because as a mother am trying to advocate and get support services for my already fragile mental state daughter and this company is more concerned about money and their rules and regulations. Please accompany your child and assure they know just because "labels" are thrown out at them, doesn't mean that is it, end of story.

We are sorry to know that your daughter is struggling. We encourage a parent or guardian to attend appointments to assist with diagnostic clarity and formulation of an appropriate treatment plan. Know that none of our providers have diagnosed "multiple personality disorder"...perhaps there has been a gap in communication. Mental health diagnoses are based upon current available information, and may change as additional information becomes available. Diagnostic clarity can sometimes be a process. The priority, however, is to work as a team with the patient, parent, and providers to help our patients to feel their best. We are sorry that your experience fell short of expectations (know that followup appointments are shorter than the initial evaluation).

Not going back there even though I liked my therapist. The service desk & managers are rude, and they care about making money first. I guess good time for them to fill the pockets, why miss the chance. Being super organized person myself, coming always on time, once I had apparently, not sure if its even true a connection issue, which after she dropped me from the room, and I was billed. The upper managers didn't waive the fee even for the first time on this kind of issue where clearly is not really my fault. Therapists should be HELPING people, not put them under more stress.

I was a patient here for the better part of 3 years. Once my therapist left, I stayed on with my medication manager but continued on with the therapist's private practice. I'm going to be as straight forward as possible. I was 5 min late to pay in person, although I had them online. The provider hung up on me, then the receptionist said I was a no show, and billed me for a session. I was in a HORRIBLE way that day. I needed help, and it was obvious that MONEY was priority, not me. I was fully capable of payment. I was on time for my appointment. I had even called prior to, so that they knew in the office that I was on my way to pay in person. It didn't matter. I hope that my experience sheds light. Sorry not sorry.

Response from the owner2 years ago
Attendance/payment policies are clearly communicated and agreed upon by both parties prior to initiating services. In addition, the attendance/payment policies are communicated via (courtesy) appointment reminders (via phone, text, and email) 3-4 days prior to the appointment. Payment is required at the time of service in order to begin the session. When a client is already five minutes late and has not paid prior to the time of the appointment, a late cancellation fee applies. The staff will generally offer another appointment on the same date if there is availability (in order to avoid the fee)--our priority is to find a time that works so that you can spend the full session with your provider . We attempt to work with clients to the extent that we are able, and can often divide the fee into payments if this is helpful. Feel free to give us a call if we can be of further assistance.

I was so scared to start NOCD but I m so glad I did. After years of talk therapy that never helped my NOCD therapist understood my problem and was able to quickly zero in on ways for me to address the problem. She gave me the education and tools to strategically deal with my challenges. I.started NOCD when I was 73 years old. I was desperate for help and relief from the misery I have known my entire life. There is hope and a solution to your problem. It s not a cure. It s a new and better way to deal with life s challenges.
