They truly do care here, and they will take excellent care of you and your needs. If you struggle with needle phobia, the phlebotomy nurse will do her best to make it not so bad. I'm PETRIFIED of needles, and I barely even felt the whole thing. I felt it hit the vein, but that's it. I also want to thank Ryan who was so kind to me. He helped me to come out of my shell a little bit at a time, and he also helped me to calm down when I was feeling a bit under the weather.

I had my ups and downs and i didnt like or get along with all the staff but they helped me. Shout out to Tom M and Kevin M. I was in the only female dorm, and in my time there the staff helped so many kids. Yes it was strict, and yes they would yell at you if you didnt do what you were supposed to do but thats part of life. The staff treated you the way you treated them for the most part.

Staying drug free starts and ends with you, but have someone like Matt to talk to on staff or by cell has been one of the reasons i stay. Excellent experience here (1 month) - the people are what make it great. It feels like a community, led by a supportive, knowledgeable and patient staff. There is good variety in the classes and treatment options (highly recommend art therapy with Diedre) so you can work with the counselors and therapists to find a path that works best for you. My therapist was truly special, but I heard good things about the others as well. They really get to know you and tailor the small group discussions and one-on-one meetings to each individual's experience and challenges.Also I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food: healthy options and a lot of variety. Stay active or you can quickly gain weight!My only constructive criticism is it would be nice if they offered longer beds (there were a few of us there over 6'4" at the time and the beds are too short).As with most things in life, the key is to stay focused on the goal - use your time to learn as much as possible from the team and fellow "clients" so that you leave with a full toolbox for the next (harder) phase of recovery. I heartily endorse Silver Pines for anyone who needs help getting (and more importantly STAYING) sober.

Perfect place at the perfect time. I hope one day to tell the people in person how much I needed what they gave to me so they get 5 stars. Group facilitators are great even though I got most of what I needed from the techs. They are there in the paint fixing all the shit other people have stirred up. You are in treatment in here so do not expect this to be a bunch of doing nothing. I did play the piano every moment that was able to. That is a big deal because it was so therapeutic to me and I know it was a test in patience for staff and clients alike because I suck. Nobody smashed the piano the whole time I was there. To me that meant that no matter how annoying I was everyone understood that I needed this and never gave me any issues., Only complaint. I do not ever want to f around and find out. I also promise that those that have to sit through that thing really, really, really are hoping to find out a heck of a lot sooner than the person who is doing the showing realizes. The person is great and super informative. Would probably be the best and most popular class because the material is actually awesome. Unfortunately, we have to go through approximately 94 f arounds and find outs before we get something that our heart can say ok I soooo needed to hear that today.
