Ok so at first I gotta admit it was probably the hardest thing I ve done but by the grace of god and all the amazing people at tru healing who helped me through it everyday I did it. Not only did I complete the 30 day program I met some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Starting with the counselors and case managers, my counselor Ms Mo she is tough but the most helpful and supportive person and I needed your toughness and more importantly she knew I needed that as well and for that I thank her and Mrs bam omg she is the sweetest person ever and helped me everytime and always was there when I needed to talk which was a lot and for that thank you so much. (Wife Amy posting) Chambersburg saved my life in January. The hospital has been getting a bad rap over the past few years and I believe it's due more to short staffing & the COVID-19 shot policies, and a few bad staff apples. God & C-burg pulled me through septic shock during an 8-day stay. I received practically exemplary care from just about everyone who worked my case, (shout-outs) from Bobby in ER, to CCU nurses, through discharge. Dr. Guthrie in Wound Care continued with me afterwards (all staff there are wonderful). I was too sick to transport anywhere else and they did a great job for me, not initially knowing what all was wrong with me. For them it's probably just another day at work on too long of a shift but for me it was my life.

I would happily like to update the fact that she no longer works there. That's a great blessing.My son told his awful therapist exactly what she wanted to hear and committed suicide. He was so much smarter than she was. Huge disappointment. She had to say a cuss word every other word out of her mouth, she was very unprofessional. He was of age so she couldn't speak to us, as parents but in all honesty she was a mom hater. Dad would pick him up and she would speak to him for an hour.

I was here in the 90s. I was a resident when it was Lutherans for the most part I had a good experience but I was bipolar I got into fights alot. I was a very angry child. I had my moments I put the staff through a lot? I still remember the staff I had I was up there earlier today because my dad lives in the retirement community right before it so much has changed over the years. It looks completely different from when it did in the 90s the retirement community was not there then. The horse barn is still there. I went here for my court required drug & alcohol evaluation and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. I read previous reviews and I must say, they made me incredibly nervous for my appointment. However, when I got there I was greeted with kindness and respect. The paperwork is understandably thorough but going over all of it was relatively quick and painless. Autumn was great and got me in and out of there without a hitch. As long as you re clean & don t have extensive past trauma etc I don t see how you could have a negative experience. Obviously if there are red flags that come up, you will end up needing treatment. Certainly didn t seem like they were after money as others stated in their reviews. 100% would recommend for evaluations. I wasn t required to do further treatment so I can t speak on that part but I have no complaints.

I was at Hoffman Homes for about a year and a half. When I arrived at Hoffman Homes, I barely knew myself. I didn't have a family that was good to me, so I didn't know what it felt like to have people care about me and listen to me. Not only did the staff at Hoffman Homes do this, they worked with me through my ups and downs and never judged me when I was at rock bottom. The programs at Hoffman Homes taught me positive ways to deal with stress, anxiety, and communication. They taught me that there is good in this world. The staff at Hoffman Homes put their sweat and tears into making sure us kids were okay. They worked overtime, they dealt with us when we were not ourselves, and they shared wisdom that only people with experience can share. The many many connections I made taught me that I was a person worthy of love, kindness, and respect. They taught me what was healthy and not healthy and without them, I would not be here today. There are connections and life skills I use to this day, almost two years after discharge. I could never thank you all for the dedication you put into us and our treatment. I owe you my life.
