I did have some concerns however, I did receive a call from a representative from BG. I felt I was listened to. I felt that as a patient and a clinician who needed help was properly placed in the best possible unit. People are people so some patients can have deeper issues that those that where assessed upon admittance to the hospital. I do feel rest assured that the hospital does have the best interest of the patient in the treatment plans. I changed my review because I felt as though I wasn't just a number. Thank you BG for listening to me. All we want is to be heard.

PRC honestly saved my life. I came here with fear, hopelessness, and no spirituality. Trust this program and trust all of the staff here. When I truly began putting in the work, feelings of hopelessness went away, slowly over time. The therapist I was assigned to here, is extremely supportive and knowledgeable. The clinical director here, is overall amazing. Shawn the program housing manager, I cannot thank him enough. Shawn and Brandt continued to let me back here after many slip ups. They let me back because they saw something in me that I did not see in myself. I believed I could never recover, but they saw otherwise. Everyone here loves you until we love ourselves. This place was truly a stepping stone in my life.

NorthStar treatment center was definitely the best outpatient program that i ve been through. Compared to the other outpatient places i ve been to, a couple things that really stood out to be during my journey was their attention to the patient and their care and the knowledge, willingness, and compassion that they showed during each individual and group session. The therapists and doctor there are the best i ve had.

I always think that a person needs to be recognized when they go above and beyond in their treatment of patients. Dr. Hashimi needs to be commended for the care he showed my son on a recent trip. His assessment of my son s condition lead to a speedy recovery when other doctors failed to prescribe the proper treatment.Prior to a scheduled cruise to the Northwest Passage, my son came down with pneumonia and went to a local emergency room in Fort Worth, TX. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and prescribed around of amoxicillin as the pneumonia appeared to be bacterial. My son was not given an inhaler or any other medication at the time. Initially, he responded well and we were able to board the cruise headed to Alaska. As soon as he was on the boat, my son started to decline pretty rapidly. The medication was no longer working, and he was having trouble breathing. On the next scheduled stop in Sitka, Alaska, I rushed my son to an urgent care where he was seen by Dr. Hashimi. Dr. Hashimi indicated that my sons oxygen level was low and that the amoxicillin was no longer capable of fighting off the bacterial infection. Dr. Hashimi prescribed a more aggressive medication along with an inhaler for my son. We were able to make it back to the cruise ship with 30 minutes to spare! His speedy diagnosis and ability to get the prescription filled at a local pharmacy helped us continue our voyage. This was INCREDIBLE.The next day, my son came out of his room, a change person. He had lost 16 pounds during his decline. His appetite appeared to be back and his color was returning. The inhaler made a huge difference! My son was able to enjoy the rest of the cruise comfortably with the family.During the entire cruise, Dr. Hashimi called me on the phone to check on my son s condition. He asked a lot of pertinent questions regarding how my son was feeling, any fever, his respirations, and general overall appearance questions. When we got back to the lower 48 after completing the cruise , Dr. Hashimi continue to call and check in on my son. This blew me away. This is the type of care that I think we all need as people. Dr. Hashimi truly was concerned about my son s welfare and his condition. I have not received this type of care in years.I wanted to personally thank you, Dr. Hashimi for all you did for my son and my family. Your quality of care and follow up is second to none! Thank you again for listening to us and helping us in a time of need. Thank you again, sir and may God bless you.

This place is amazing because they re the reason why I started to love myself again and I was also very grateful to meet the best therapist. I recently graduated from STR. I was in programming between May to September, originally PHP and then in the IOP mental health program. While in PHP I was in housing as well. There are family sessions offered too, but I did not utilize that service while at STR.While the house I was at was not perfect, administration tried their best to accommodate every concern clients had with the house. It was overall a clean and safe environment to live in. If there are any concerns advocate for yourself and ask a tech to call a house meeting if it is an interpersonal issue within the house. If you have a different issue communicate that to the director and it will most likely be handled promptly. The PHP (partial hospitalization program) for mental health is six days a week, 9am-1:30 Monday-Friday and 9am-12pm Saturdays. The program changes as needs change. When I first began there process groups were three hours long, but when I left they were two hours long with an additional hour of psych ed. While the day may seem long, everyone gets a break between noon and 12:30. Afternoon there are different types of therapy everyday like art therapy, DBT, CBT.IOP (intensive outpatient program) is only 9am-12pm three days a week, usually Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The director is accommodating though so if for any reason you need to not go on a Monday, you could always go on a Saturday if you advocate for yourself. You ll have one individual session a week with one of the clinicians. I had Ashley and she is phenomenal. While the staff really do care about the clients, Ashley definitely cares about clients and it shows in her work. You ll also have a session with either Dr. Newman or Monique once a week to go over medications they are both amazing!STR is shaped not just by the staff, but clientele too. I have reinforced and grew my support system while being at STR. And while I was in the mental health program, I have substance use disorder as well, I d recommend Steps to recovery struggling with their mental health or substance use. It may take a couple of weeks to really settle into the program, but continue to do the work since you are worth it and advocate for yourself if something isn t working for you.STR is also a great facility if you re part of the LGBTQ+ community. The staff here are not just accepting, but affirming. There is an optional LGBTQ+ group once a week with Christian, which was my favorite part of the week.

The expertise of the clinical staff paired with the knowledge and compassion of the medical staff make this chapter in recovery very rewarding and beneficial. Everyone starting with my case worker, Haylee, to my therapist, Shannon, and the administrative assistant, Erica, I was informed of my treatment plan and guided through the next steps in a informative, meaningful way. Okay so I've been to a hand full of different PHPs and treatment places. Unfortunately I have lot of experiences with these kind of places. The issue is a lot of these places don't have anywhere near the the same accommodation that Victory Bay offers. This place is a great balance of giving support, knowledge and the opportunity to become independent under the healing process of addiction. They allow you to have family sessions, one on ones, EMDR and TMS treatment/therapist opportunities. On day one they assign you a case worker, this person can help you find a job, schedule appointments for doctors, help you apply to college, find you a nutrients and more. This program has a lot more freedoms than other places I've been in. That freedom really allows me to grow as a person without being held on a leach. The structure of the program is very appropriate and is willing to work with you if you have other responsibilities like court, employment or even being sick. The housing of Victory Bay is fair, I personally feel like all sober houses will have there ups and downs, however this place has been a better experience. There are techs who also watch over the house and give meds in the morning and nights. They are all very understanding and are willing to listen to you and help in anyway they can. The tech at the house also give you the opportunity to attend meetings every night. If you have a home group near by the houses they can drive you there or send you a lift to attend the meeting you want. All and all, this place is fantastic to begin or continue the journey of recovery. I cant recommend this treatment place enough! I am currently still in treatment here but I've been here for close to 9 months.

I was a patient at RFS over a year. Coreen was a great therapist for my conditions and struggles. I felt that I was in a place where I can be very comfortable in expressing myself without being judged. She helped me realize parts of myself that I realized were connected with my problems and past. For that, I am truly thankful for her help.I will suggest it would be more helpful in sessions to have more pragmatic questions and advice on how patients are going through areas of improvement and what would be the next steps moving forward. This would be a way for patients to stay focused on concrete goals to get better
