PRC honestly saved my life. I came here with fear, hopelessness, and no spirituality. Trust this program and trust all of the staff here. When I truly began putting in the work, feelings of hopelessness went away, slowly over time. The therapist I was assigned to here, is extremely supportive and knowledgeable. The clinical director here, is overall amazing. Shawn the program housing manager, I cannot thank him enough. Shawn and Brandt continued to let me back here after many slip ups. They let me back because they saw something in me that I did not see in myself. I believed I could never recover, but they saw otherwise. Everyone here loves you until we love ourselves. This place was truly a stepping stone in my life.

I always think that a person needs to be recognized when they go above and beyond in their treatment of patients. Dr. Hashimi needs to be commended for the care he showed my son on a recent trip. His assessment of my son s condition lead to a speedy recovery when other doctors failed to prescribe the proper treatment.Prior to a scheduled cruise to the Northwest Passage, my son came down with pneumonia and went to a local emergency room in Fort Worth, TX. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and prescribed around of amoxicillin as the pneumonia appeared to be bacterial. My son was not given an inhaler or any other medication at the time. Initially, he responded well and we were able to board the cruise headed to Alaska. As soon as he was on the boat, my son started to decline pretty rapidly. The medication was no longer working, and he was having trouble breathing. On the next scheduled stop in Sitka, Alaska, I rushed my son to an urgent care where he was seen by Dr. Hashimi. Dr. Hashimi indicated that my sons oxygen level was low and that the amoxicillin was no longer capable of fighting off the bacterial infection. Dr. Hashimi prescribed a more aggressive medication along with an inhaler for my son. We were able to make it back to the cruise ship with 30 minutes to spare! His speedy diagnosis and ability to get the prescription filled at a local pharmacy helped us continue our voyage. This was INCREDIBLE.The next day, my son came out of his room, a change person. He had lost 16 pounds during his decline. His appetite appeared to be back and his color was returning. The inhaler made a huge difference! My son was able to enjoy the rest of the cruise comfortably with the family.During the entire cruise, Dr. Hashimi called me on the phone to check on my son s condition. He asked a lot of pertinent questions regarding how my son was feeling, any fever, his respirations, and general overall appearance questions. When we got back to the lower 48 after completing the cruise , Dr. Hashimi continue to call and check in on my son. This blew me away. This is the type of care that I think we all need as people. Dr. Hashimi truly was concerned about my son s welfare and his condition. I have not received this type of care in years.I wanted to personally thank you, Dr. Hashimi for all you did for my son and my family. Your quality of care and follow up is second to none! Thank you again for listening to us and helping us in a time of need. Thank you again, sir and may God bless you.

I recently graduated from STR. I was in programming between May to September, originally PHP and then in the IOP mental health program. While in PHP I was in housing as well. There are family sessions offered too, but I did not utilize that service while at STR.While the house I was at was not perfect, administration tried their best to accommodate every concern clients had with the house. It was overall a clean and safe environment to live in. If there are any concerns advocate for yourself and ask a tech to call a house meeting if it is an interpersonal issue within the house. If you have a different issue communicate that to the director and it will most likely be handled promptly. The PHP (partial hospitalization program) for mental health is six days a week, 9am-1:30 Monday-Friday and 9am-12pm Saturdays. The program changes as needs change. When I first began there process groups were three hours long, but when I left they were two hours long with an additional hour of psych ed. While the day may seem long, everyone gets a break between noon and 12:30. Afternoon there are different types of therapy everyday like art therapy, DBT, CBT.IOP (intensive outpatient program) is only 9am-12pm three days a week, usually Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The director is accommodating though so if for any reason you need to not go on a Monday, you could always go on a Saturday if you advocate for yourself. You ll have one individual session a week with one of the clinicians. I had Ashley and she is phenomenal. While the staff really do care about the clients, Ashley definitely cares about clients and it shows in her work. You ll also have a session with either Dr. Newman or Monique once a week to go over medications they are both amazing!STR is shaped not just by the staff, but clientele too. I have reinforced and grew my support system while being at STR. And while I was in the mental health program, I have substance use disorder as well, I d recommend Steps to recovery struggling with their mental health or substance use. It may take a couple of weeks to really settle into the program, but continue to do the work since you are worth it and advocate for yourself if something isn t working for you.STR is also a great facility if you re part of the LGBTQ+ community. The staff here are not just accepting, but affirming. There is an optional LGBTQ+ group once a week with Christian, which was my favorite part of the week.

I was a patient at RFS over a year. Coreen was a great therapist for my conditions and struggles. I felt that I was in a place where I can be very comfortable in expressing myself without being judged. She helped me realize parts of myself that I realized were connected with my problems and past. For that, I am truly thankful for her help.I will suggest it would be more helpful in sessions to have more pragmatic questions and advice on how patients are going through areas of improvement and what would be the next steps moving forward. This would be a way for patients to stay focused on concrete goals to get better

    Foundations Behavioral Health

I wanted to put this review out for those scared and anxious parents who will have their child come in Foundations for the first time. My son was admitted to this hospital a month ago. He is high functioning, and very kind and sweet when he is in his calm state. However, he would have explosive meltdowns when he gets overwhelmed probably once every 2-3 months. The only thing that we haven't tried yet was to do the in-patient program. We had enough support. We have our Care Manager, psychiatrist, school support, teachers and therapists in other schools, a lot. All of them said that we were doing the right thing. So we gave it a go. It was traumatizing for him and us for sure. From CHOP, we were taken there by an ambulance. Once we arrived there, we were asked to wait. It was 9:15 pm when we arrived. We were able to talk to someone by 12:00 am. There was no information disclosed to us (what will happen, what would it be like, etc). I had to ask the techs picking him up questions. That was the only time I got some info. I really hope they have a system in place to inform parents about the whole process.By 1:00, he finally got in. We had to say our most painful goodbyes. The next days were tough. We got to talk to him every night. He would call us. He told us that it was too loud over there, that there were kids bullying, stealing, and even getting "possessed by the devil". At the beginning, my son said that he couldn't shower because the techs would say "it will take a while" or "we only shower once a week". My son is also rigid with toothbrushing. He asked for a toothbrush but he said the techs would say they run out. Every night I would cry, but some nurses would do a check in for me. His counselor was fairly nice. The doctor seemed to be knowledgeable. But i do have to say that if you don't call consistently, they will not pay attention. His school is so supportive that they will also do check ins themselves. I think Foundations saw that we were serious so they would give feedback all the time. My suggestion is to call all the time. Don't get tired of it. You have that right!Overall, I could say that Foundations was fairly okay. I think any behavioral health hospital won't be perfect. You will not get 5 star reviews. It will not be a vacation. It will be scary. However, you can do what you need to do as a parent. A good behavioral health center should be giving you honest feedback, calling you for information, asking questions about your child, and letting you know what the medical plan is. Foundations was able to give most of that to us. That's why I'm giving them 4 stars. They also gave me good payment plan for the fees. Foundations is a highly recommended hospital by top special ed schools and care managers. If this is your first time, have faith. Keep on calling everyday. Demand for info all the time. Ask for the names of each person you talk to. Good luck!
