Inpatient- 3 s. (Read on for outpatient review)Overall healthcare in the states is money focused and behavioral health facilities are notorious for receiving horrible reviews. I ve stayed in several hospitals and while I agree there are a lot of staff that have a massive lack of empathy & are in general unprofessional- you can always find a select few that will hopefully lift some weight off during your stay.Shawna, the OT who I think is one of the only staff left from my last stay there before the new hospital, made my stay bearable, radiating warmth & acceptance. Dr. Mehta (now gone) was the first psychiatrist to not look at me as simply a number on a chart. It s worth noting that my veganism was taken seriously & not made to seem like it was a burden to request a meal fix when sent the wrong thing.Outpatient- 5 s. Quiet & organized. The therapists are thoroughly trained. The DBT program was life-changing. I returned several times to that program with no sigh s of here she is again like inpatient. FYI for those it may effect, It is a teaching hospital. That means some therapists & psychiatrists come & within a year or two leave.Shoutout to therapist Sam who I believe is the absolute best fit for the lead therapist in the DBT program & I ve seen a few! I don t think anyone could match her mental fortitude with the wide variety of behaviors (of varying intensity) displayed daily in that group. Jessye, for being sweet & not giving up on trying to get to know me. Dr. Ali, whom could see through my defenses & still tried, no matter how stubbornly I d hold them up, even if it were for the whole appointment And despite my lack of faith & general distaste for those in that profession, is a likable dude. Last and certainly not least, Dr. Filmore. She had many opportunities to leave me high and dry, yet stayed. I haven t had any other MH professional in the 9 years of receiving treatment that I could trust enough to let my guard down so much so as I have with her. That says a lot. Many more people there have shown me kindness as well. From Caitlyn the OT, John the art therapist, to the techs who make everything run, the front desk crew & the custodial crew. Thanks everyone. You all work passionately hard & it doesn t go unnoticed.

I had an outstanding experience as an inpatient client at Fairmount recently. The staff and fellow clients made me feel so comfortable, respected and safe.I came in at a 5/5 for depression (5 being the worst), and left at a 1/5!!Their motto is "from hope to happiness," and that is what I experienced during my stay.We even had a birthday party with pizza, ice cream, and cupcakes; and a dance party outside on my last day.Of the different programs and agencies, I have participated with the past two years, Fairmount has been one of my favorites and clinically so helpful.Special thanks to everyone on the woman's trauma unit! You are so appreciated.

I used to volunteer services at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the cost for the entire year was 800.00. I would assume it has increased with inflation but the information stating a cost of $12,000 monthly is inaccurate.
If you need help you should consider reaching out to Teen Challenge. Lives are transformed at and through Teen Challenge, do not let the inaccurate information about the cost deter you from getting help. Also, I believe they have ways of acquiring financial assistance if needed. If you have a problem and your tired of it and / or you have been to multiple rehabs, this one is different. Don’t go back to what you know doesn’t work. Heart transformation vs’ behavior modification. Anybody can change their behavior for external reasons, like they got fired from their job, fighting with spouse, ect. and they really believe that they’ve stopped., but two months after getting a new job and the coast is clear guess what creeps back out? When there’s a transformed heart, the desires are abolished, not tucked away for later. Hearts are transformed at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the program was12 months. You might think that’s a long time. If you do nothing 5 years will fly by and you will be where you are now, or worse off, or even dead. Make a move now and imagine the endless possibilities that can happen in five years. New friends, new career, new location, clear, productive mind. Don’t wait. Do it today.
