The entire staff did a great job. I appreciated everyone listening to me. If the Techs and anyone else that holds group therapy would break down Emotions and Depression, they would have better participation from the patients.

Amazing Experience! I was challenged in a positive way. I felt renewed when I left. The only thing I was not fond of was not much creative freedom

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Staff was very friendly, very knowledgable about detox process and helping patients in hospital. The food was questionable, not sure how often the floor is mopped but it was not very clean.

I recently completed the trauma IOP program, led by Conner, LPCA. I can't express enough how transformative this experience has been. The outpatient program is well thought out, addressing a variety of needs with a holistic approach. The treatment team, including a psychiatrist, medical doctor, nutritionist, and therapist work collaboratively with you to create a personalized treatment plan, ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way. Conner is nothing short of incredible; her expertise and compassion truly make a difference. I felt understood and empowered throughout the entirety of my journey.A special thanks to Conner, Dr. Lopez, and the entire PLBH staff, my life has changed for the better. If you re seeking help, let Conner guide you you won t regret it!

My son was court mandated to go to Palmetto Lowcountry BH and I feel they have definitely helped him with the program they offer. He said he was finally given the medicine he feels he needs. Safety might be in question. My son was placed on a ward/floor with psychiatric patients when he was there for depression. There were others on same ward with him for alcohol. While there he expressed how cold he was and when he finally got blankets to get warm the next day they were taken by head staff. Also a person on this floor broke faucet in the bathroom causing them to have to evacuate the area. He says food was worst he has ever eaten and ran straight through him.

For the most part the staff were very decent. I really approved of the doctor I interacted with. At times the food was good. The groups need to be geared towards more specific subject matter, and for grown up's not school age kids. It's as if each group is designed for students that suffer from mental health issues middle school 101. Also I believe that therapy whether it be one on one, or group therapy needs to be inserted into the programming system. We need opportunities to speak up and be allowed to express the way we are feeling, and if we are able to deal with our feelings or not. Unfortunately the facility was extremely dirty. The floors were full of dust, hair, and debris. Our bathroom for instance was never cleaned during my entire stay. While I understand that good help for positions such as these are extremely hard to aquire, maybe offer incentive for better job performance in the housekeeping department.

I am a former patient who was admitted here at 16 and spent my 17th birthday in here essentially behind bars. If there are any parents thinking about sending your child here DON T DO IT. I was here for a week and for my first 2 days they locked me in the room and wouldn t let me go outside or to the cafeteria. The nurses are extremely abrasive, rude, and it s obvious that they re only working for the paycheck. TheONLY THING they did to help fix us was give us a worksheet with the exact same 7 questions on it every day. THAT S IT! The only thing to do was play cards and half the time they wouldn t give them out so my roommate and I had to take a pack when they weren t paying attention just so we didn t go insane from boredom. I had one nurse threaten to sedate me because I said goodnight to the other patients to loudly. We were told we could bring a blanket and pillow from home so I did and then they locked them in a box in my room. They would wake us up 3 times a night to check our vitals which we had told them is very dangerous for me due to a seizure condition I have but they don t care, they do what they want. This place does more bad than good. Parents please don t send your children here. There are way, way, WAY, better places that actually want to help. Don t waste your money and risk your child s health.
