I cannot say enough positive things about Awakenings by the Sea. I just discharged after a 30 day stay and I can honestly say it was a life changing experience. The staff, all around, are so kind and caring! The counselors work hard to provide both group education AND individualized treatment plans. No two patients have exactly the same needs or concerns and I was so impressed by my counselor, Vicky, and her ability to take what I shared with her in 1:1 sessions and come up with meaningful, therapeutic assignments to help me process some of my specific needs. I made many great friends with the other patients in my time at Awakenings too! I ll never forget this experience

This is hands down the best rehabilitation and recovery place in all of Washington state!!!! I went through their program and they not only gave me the tools to fight my alcoholism but they also focused on me as a person and my life. They helped me to identify the "Why?" I was drinking through outstanding counselors and very informative group sessions. I was able to identify and make plans to correct the areas of my life that either directly or indirectly affected my ability to stay sober. All of the staff are very friendly, understanding, caring, and knowledgeable people. They make make you feel very welcome and go out of their way and go up and beyond to help you and make you feel comfortable. The medical doctors and nursing staff do an outstanding job of taking care of all your medical needs and ensure every aspect of your physical health is addressed. The mental health and counseling department has very good counselors that are great at getting to the root of you as a person and identifying areas of ones self that need attention. The technical staff are very accommodating, friendly, and interactive with the clients which eases time there and makes you feel really cared for. The food is outstanding and on another level that you will not find at most, if not all, other facilities. Discover Recovery employs top notch chefs that are very accommodating and highly skilled. After eating here you will 100% miss the food and be hard pressed to find a restaurant that can match it's excellence. Last, but not least, the facilities are 1st class, spacious, well cleaned and very well maintained.This place not only saved my life but gave me what I needed to make my life better than it has ever been. I cannot thank them enough.

I personally had no issues, but there was tons of drama there and it was very stressful on me personally. I was only there a week and 3 days and left and flew back home to cali. There is a really good male psychiatrist there who actually I met with a few days before I left, I can not recall his name but with his insight he really helped me figure out the things causing me to self medicate. I ended up getting clean on my own and have been clean now for 11 months almost a year!

Their clinic is great, however I see that their GPS needs to be updated. I tryed calling to talk to someone about canceling my appointment but they said they were closed. So I'LL have to call Tuesday instead. So idk maybe they r closed early because of covid 19 or maybe cuz they just decided to change their hours.But don't bother calling sat,sun,mon,they are closed. Overall I'm grateful to this place for the help that they've given me, cause I'll be real, they can only do so much and then it's up to me. The reason for four stars is because of the wait times, they are ridiculous, and the way I feel I'd that there had got to be a better system put into place so that people who are their to simply dose can do just that and get on with their lives..if there is someone doing anything other than that then there should be a line for other stuff. And the people who cheat and can't wait in line is becoming a huge problem. Honestly I feel like it should be a take a number system or something...alls I know I'd something needs to be done because there's been days I'd rather just take the AWOL and turn to leave once I see the line. If I had a job I would be very upset at the process because as it is it appears they don't seem to care that people have other things to do. Perhaps there should be a cap on the amount of patients maybe, the policy take everyone that comes obviously is causing more problems.

Everyone has lives and deals with things, I can only imagine the people that come in. That said, I had an amazing experience here after not seeing a doctor for over 15 years. Not to mention their male flobotamist is an absolute master of the craft.They offer dental in the same building? Hell yes!Anyways I have now been to this office a handful of times and each time has been fast and wonderful.I'm seeing a lot of ONE stars of people complaining about rudeness etc....i think those people suffer from what I call "MY WORLD" Syndrome....where they don't take into consideration that employees are humans with emotions too.A lot of people think just because it's a clinic that said clinic has to do do do for them. When first visiting their site, I immediately noticed their empowering voice mixed with an emphasis on team-focused, complete recovery not to mention MMA, Yoga, and Writing Therapy. Tree House treats the mind, body, and spirit for sustainable recovery, by building strength through fitness, addiction education, writing, 1:1, group sessions, etc. The more we learned about their holistic approach, the more we were ready to contact an admissions counselor and ultimately my brother made the decision to enter the program.Privacy is of the utmost importance at Tree House Recovery PDX, so I don t want to disclose too much, but know that the entire team treats everyone with care, respect, and professionalism. Clinical Director Karen Willock's monthly family group sessions were particularly impactful, and Nevin Andrews was incredibly responsive and kind throughout my brother s 5-month treatment.
