About Operation PAR

Operation PAR, located in Port Charlotte, Florida, is a leading provider of high-quality, affordable substance use disorder treatment, and one of the nation’s leaders in client-focused, science-based care. Their programs extend through a wide continuum of care that treats clients from prevention to outpatient services.

Operation PAR offers detox, residential treatment, outpatient services, and medication assisted treatment.

The detox program at Operation PAR is for those who need assistance removing toxic substances from their body in a safe and supportive way. Detoxification done at home can be dangerous and even lethal. Medically supervised detox through Operation PAR offers monitoring of vitals to ensure safety.

The residential treatment program at Operation PAR is for individuals who need a high level of care and routine at the beginning of their recovery process. Evidence-based treatment services through individual counseling, group therapy, and psycho-educational classes are provided. Case management services and continued care planning are also provided.

The outpatient programming at Operation PAR is for those who are stable enough to commute to treatment and then return home in the evening for rest. This program combines individual therapy, group therapy, and educational classes that focus on recovery. Mental health and physical health care are also offered. Outpatient treatment lasts the duration best suited to each individual based on their unique challenges, needs, and goals.

Medication Assisted Treatment provides medications along with comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and behavioral counseling. FDA approved medications are used to support withdrawal from opioid drugs and to help maintain long-term abstinence. By combining medication with mental health treatment, a greater chance of success is achieved for long-term abstinence.

Group therapy involves treatment through the process of connecting in a group setting to discuss and work through mental, emotional, and physical issues. There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more.

This particular program isn't the same it used to be, in my opinion that's a shame. Clients deserve to be treated with respect and overall this program hinders your life rather than trying to help people navigate thru their recovery in a positive & and healthy way. It didn't always work this way & it truly was a good program until the changes started happening over the past 5 years or so. Everyone's situation is different but no other program operates in such a manner nor allows the negative, toxic behavior from staff. There's another good program located just a few miles away from the PC location on Veterans Blvd.,that doesn't treat you as if you have done something wrong unless you've actually done something wrong. That's a different story, but to just flat out retaliate against clients out of spite, etc is not the ethics their to follow let alone it's just wrong. I definitely recommend the other program if your having any issues with this place. MAT treatment is already stigmatized and I want to help educate and show people that it's a good program,if you work it right you will succeed. You have to want it,nobody else can make the decision for you. Stay safe & stay blessed

Between the counseling sessions, & the MAT, I'm goin on 2.5 years, (straight thru, no on again off again BS), legitimately clean, sober, and stable. Which, in my 32 yrs of life, I'm just now beginning to get to know my true self. Bc I started SO young, I hadn't realized I'd never stopped to really develop who I was. This program SAVES LIVES! This is the LONGEST I've EVER had ANY kind of sobriety. & unbelievably, I haven't relapsed since I began this new chapter in my life. I'd recommend this program to ANYONE who's stuck in this cycle of insanity! Just wanted to add, this is months after my first review. Just checking in... Got 3 yrs now, & still goin strong. This program saves lives

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Convenient satellite location for Sarasota and Fort Myers clients. This helps hundreds of patients who live in the Port Charlotte areas with a closer option than the main clinic.

Overall, just like any other recovery program.. It only works if you work it. The staff and doctors are here to help you but your recovery depends on you. The only area of gripe is the business hours. I wished they opened earlier but overall it's a wonderful place!
