Mold. Mold. Mold. And more mold. Ask them to pass a city inspection. If they can’t do that why are you trusting them with your children who need help. I ran away from here. Succeeded. Never went back to another one. And when I tell u. Now 6 years later that that was one of the best decisions of my life I’m telling you the whole truth. The food. Trash. Like I’ve been to 17 different places and they were the worst food ever. Tells us we can’t talk to the opposite gender. But we see them bout 20 times a day. And I swear they purposely make it impossible to not get in trouble. Hate this place. It needs to be shut down.

Thirty two years ago I was an enraged, always angry at the world teenager dealing with substance issues and a BH diagnosis. The staff at Omegon saved my life. I don’t remember the names of the staff but I do remember one woman with reddish blonde hair who had a golden retriever. That woman and that dog were a godsend to me. The other clients I met while there were awesome as well. We all had our issues and chips on our shoulders. But we made it work. Thank you.

I was placed her in 2016 when I was seventeen amd I agree with all of the reviews. I was diagnosed from a professional before I came here I had major depression major anxiety amd PTSD, when I first came there I was ignored the whole car ride from my parent almost like I was a mistake. Which ik I'm not know! I was on unit for about 3 months honestly I didn't want to go to group or family therapy nothing. I slept all the time I was so depressed I was a teenage girl missing out on the highschool experience amd hanging out with friends and being a teenager but when I wouldn't get up for school they would stand in my door way and scream at me or take my blankets amd mattress. The only time I gotit back was bedtime and when I did finally get back I fell back into that pattern so they let the kids on the unit decid my punishments. Which is pretty sad looking back on it. My parent stopped going to family therapy with me amd stop visiting even tho she worked 15 min away from me. So I was working on all of my mental health by myself amd they let that happen i felt so alone seeming that I never got no phone calls or visits it felt like I had to fight for attention which is sad because they had favorites amd I was the oldest one there so I was role model for all of them and I was reminded that everyday every hour. Then Christmas role by everyone seemed to get expensive gifts from the staff that they provided some got ipods with more 2,000 song make up art stuff things to do. All I got was a hat and gloves keep in mind they selected people who get to go outside I was never one to. So the gift was useless for me but atleast I got something as I turned 18 I aged out of the program never graduated because parent wasn't there to do my goals woth me .tbh I think I shouldn't have aged out of the program I think i should have been taken out when parent decided to stop showing up amd placed into a different gardiams hamd seeming I was in the system or put into a day treat while being in someone else care because that is a year of my life I will never get back amd I grow up way to fast which is bring up moments in my life were I wish I didn't back than. They only nice staff there we Anna and school teacher Tim amd the chief this other staff ashley always had favorites ehich made me awful so I wouldn't recommend sending ir kid or teenager here there's probably better places then this place do research ask question and stick with ir kid through there progress and try to understand themsupport them cause these places make u feel so alone already. And could possibly bring more mental health issues than what they came in with. Zero star if possible

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug addiction is defined as an inability to stop using drugs even though it causes negative consequences in your life. Drug rehab in Minnesota provides treatment for drug addiction in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I'm currently in crtc as KY initials, and I can confidently say this place was scary at first and really hard place to wanna be in but now I've put in lots of effort and have grown to be more communicative and trusting of others due to my lovely therapists who truly show they care and they've helped me when things were getting bad and I became hopeless, the school there, not so great due to only there being 2 classes Science & history. But it's easy so Im not complaining. I will be leaving crtc after 20 days or less, and I feel my mental health has improved and I've became more mature as a 13 almost 14 year old, I believe once you put in the effort and are determined to do what it takes to leave then you will get out in no time, I have almost been here 5 months and I am happy to say I've made lots of progress thanks to my staff and admin, peers time to time start conflict since I've been here but it's normal to fight with people you live with because it's healthy to express your emotions, but I rather recommend having a monitored conversation! It's something the staff offer if you feel you are having a hard time with someone and you both need to talk & or repair talk. Crtc has taught me manners and kindness and for that I appreciate because I found myself doing something I wouldn't think of doing ever before I got here, I learned to love myself & not care what others think and have pride in the things I do, so, I just wanted to say before I leave thank you crtc for helping me learn new and healthy coping skills, I'm on the track to success not only because of my doing, but because you believed I could and that helped a lot. Thank you for everything you have done and I hope things get better for anyone having to go here, I wish you all the best of luck and that they have similar results to me when you try your hardest. I've learned new and better habits rather than unhealthy, I don't sh anymore and my intrusive thoughts have been gone for months, now just know we all go through bad times, but you'll get through it no matter how hard it seems example, it may seem like you're stuck in a really bad thunderstorm but the storm will pass, it always does, just keep walking and you'll get there guys. P.s when I first got here If im being 100% honest I would have given a bad review saying something like "this place sucks!" or "0 stars because staff are the worst and this place is like a prison!!!" but I didn't, why? Because I knew for me personally it wasn't true. So, now that I gave it a shot and tried my best it's not so bad, the staff leave left and right but sometimes you gotta be optimistic and welcoming to new faces because even the newer staff have been able to help me even if they don't know me like some staff do they try, and that's what matters to me, thank you Crtc for opening my eyes and helping me learn to trust again. - Ky 2023

CRTC ReviewI was at CRTC from July 2012, to March 2013. My opinions towards the program are mixed. The good things about it were the fact that I got the help I needed in order to stay alive. I also met some cool people, and the teachers were awesome. Those are the only reasons I m giving this place a 2 star rating. The staff on Unit A were verbally, mentally, emotionally, and, if they could get away with it, they d probably be physically abusive too. (The only exception was Anna; she was amazing). They treated us like we were in prison, which is NOT what ANYONE needed. They acted as if what we were dealing with was a behavioral issue, rather than a severe mental illness concern. Most of them had little to no experience working or had any knowledge of working with mentally ill children and adolescents. There were a few residents with intense panic disorders, and when they would have a panic attack, some of the staff would SCREAM at them, saying that they were being inappropriate , and that they needed to contain themselves (but in a really condescending tone). I have this vague memory of once asking a staff why they were yelling at them. They never answered directly; I was given a consequence, of course.A personal incident I had with a staff member was when they were commenting on my music choices during the ride back from an activity, saying that the music was stupid , dumb and I was wasting everyone s time listening to that crap . When we got back to the facility, the staff said thank god we re back, so we don t have to hear the lame music anymore . When I attempted to assert myself with them later that night, on how I was feeling, they laughed in my face, and told me to take a joke , and blamed the situation on ME, saying that if I listened to better music, they wouldn t have made the comments. My anxiety was pretty rough when I came in, and after I left, my anxiety got worse, because of that place. I see a lot of the reviews state the same thing. For the most part, however, my mental health did improve. I still have bad days, but my harmful thoughts are happening less frequently.Even though most of the staff were very unpleasant to be around, I do wish them well, and I hope that they have grown and become better people.

I was there in 2014-2015, for nine months. It was a horrible experience and hurt me wayyyy more than it helped. Staff was distant and even cruel sometimes, but other staff, like Anna and the math teacher, was great. I had more help and support from a shelter I was in before being placed here. One bathroom to ten people is not good, and it was very much your gonna act like your fine or we will punish you. I couldn't even attempt therapy for years after this because of trauma I associated it with due to this treatment center. Please DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE.
