OMA - Outreach Ministries of Alabama, located in Valhermoso Springs, Alabama, provides alcohol and drug rehab services through a Christian-based system of recovery. This discipleship program is for men only and is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
OMA – Outreach Ministries of Alabama welcomes men from all walks of life and backgrounds. Their program is offered in a residential format.
Residential Treatment
The residential program is an on-site program that offers men the ability to immerse themselves in a new culture based on God, allowing them to establish a relationship with a higher power to help with their recovery. The gender-specific program helps men feel more comfortable working through issues related to recovery that might be unique to them. Clients focus on biblical study, worship, discipleship, and learning new recovery tools. Length of stay is dependent on the unique needs of each person.

Sober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Alcoholism
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug Addiction
