car-building iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive care without leaving their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically receive intensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Many programs promote clients' long-term sobriety through recovery-focused life skills training and ancillary services, such as peer coaching. Medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance, are common in outpatient care. Most facilities offer multiple levels of care to accommodate clients' evolving needs, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient programming.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

truck-medical icon24-Hour Clinical Care

Safe detox requires 24-hour clinical care in Tennessee. This is due to the health risks that are involved during withdrawal. As the brain reacts to the absence of the drug, severe symptoms can occur, depending on the type of drug used. For instance, alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal may result in seizures. Fortunately, supervised care in a clinical setting can provide the necessary treatment to avoid health risks and allow you to complete detox safely.

people-group iconIntervention Services

The goal of a drug intervention in Tennessee is to encourage a person with a substance use disorder to enter treatment. The process also educates family members about addiction, enabling behaviors, and treatment options. The involvement of intervention services can help with this education and provide guidance for the intervention itself and follow-up care. The professional interventionist will work with the entire family to encourage the best outcomes possible from the intervention.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Couples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Family Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Recreational Therapy

Recreational therapy supports addiction recovery by giving you structured activities that promote physical and mental health. These help build a supportive network of your peers that promotes sobriety. Activities can include sports, creative arts, and outdoor adventures that help you reduce cravings, manage stress, and give you an emotional outlet.

Life Skills

Life skills training teaches you how to cope with challenging situations in non destructive ways. This crucial piece of drug rehab in Tennessee gives you tools for decision making, relationship building, and self care.

They were very disrespectful this place did not help me. And please get ms glass fired as soon as possible. They didn't even let my mom know what was happening when I overdosed on my Lithium and almost died from it. So I would not recommend this place for your child.

There were fights all the time, girls breaking lights to harm themselves or others almost on a daily. There were girls hooking up and staff would look the other way. There was nothing about that place that helped I had to get transferred to a different program

The people working at Oak Plains should be working at prison, that would be their perfect job because of the characteristics they show. They are the worst of their kind, I don't understand how they think that people can be helped with their attitudes.

This place is very weird to say the ABSOLUTE LEAST. Please don t submit your job application, management is depressing, this place is not mentally stable for minors. The negatives tremendously outweigh the positives, MHA mental health is declining, residents are struggling more with their mental health just by being a resident here. You don t know who to trust, who s sincere. There is so much hiding, we do not have a disk golf course, volleyball, and hiking trails. Their website has false information, read through this facility s reviews before you let your loved one become a resident. Don t be afraid to ask questions and ensure that they re getting the treatment they need. Mental health matters

Only because I cannot put 0 stars I am putting 1. I visited my niece a week ago. She came out with clothes too tight for her, ripped up, and holes in them. Her hair was not even brushed, she didn t even have a brush. No deodorant, this is a 13 year old girl. They gave her a bar of soap to wash with, for her body and hair. She has ethnic hair and her skin is sensitive. She was hungry, loopy, and confused at some points. This place HAS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!

I went to this facility about 1 year ago and I d like to say, I would never EVER send any child here. They not only disregard feelings they also neglect the children by not meeting their needs. While I was there so many fights broke out, others shaming others, and much more. On one special occasion someone pulled the fire alarm and a whole riot broke out. Water everywhere, others running away, and believe it or not there was NO supervision from the staff. Most of the time the staff would shame the patients, and neglect them. That place was filthy, paint chipping everywhere, dirt everywhere, and mold growing. And no one would do anything about the hazards. Does it not only not help the patients but worsens the trama. This place NEEDS to be shut down. It s not a safe place, it is DANGEROUS. Almost like a prison.

My soon-to-be stepdaughter is, or should say was, a resident here.As of today because of a spider bite that was out of her control, she was admitted last night to a hospital. My stepdaughter is suicidal, and has not had her issues remedied, and now is institutionalized thanks to no small part of the facilities handling. While I was visiting one day they told my stepdaughter that they had bad news, and that the person that was causing her the most grief would be moved back into her unit. Now we get a phone call last night around 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. informing us at our bedtime that she is being admitted to a hospital for a spider bite.Because of being admitted to a hospital for a spider bite, they have discharged her from mental care and refused to take her back in. One night in a medical facility for something other than mental issues and something completely out of her control, has warranted her unable to continue her mental rehabilitation. On top of that the first nurse I said she would have to leave the facility, the second person said she can stay and that they will readmit her after treatment for the spider bite. And then today she's not allowed back because they don't hold beds for patients. You are better off scooping all of the water out of the ocean using a fork and a strainer then you are getting help from this center. They are going to send a suicidal girl home to die instead of holding a bed for two nights, after getting bit by a spider in their facility and in their care.Instead of taking any action to facilitate their duties, they're trying to take action to prevent them from a lawsuit. She was injured in their care, and they cast her aside to die at home. Before you judge, about the time of night, we live 3 hours away and it was the only facility. And we work.

I was admitted here by the state for nearly a year.I spent my own birthday here, my sister's, mom's, and dad's. It was HORRIBLE! There was a staff member (who wasn't fired until after I left) who put their hands on me first when I was trying to walk away from the argument to calm down. When I reported it, I was told the cameras in that ENTIRE HALLWAY did not work! There was a classroom, called Classroom 6, which was an empty, all white brick room they locked you in for hours at a time.I was in here freshman year and graduated in 2021. A month before I graduated, I was called to the office saying OPA had lost my freshman credit papers and I may not get to graduate because of them - even though I took the 5 classes with all A's and a 4.0. Many of the kids who were put in here deserved love, care, and understanding, and none received it.
