outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Clients participating in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) receive frequent, high-level care while living at home. Many enter intensive outpatient treatment immediately after leaving inpatient rehab, but some transition directly from detox into IOP. Treatment generally involves nine to 20 therapeutic hours per week and a combination of addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and evidence-based complementary care. Many outpatient rehabs also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) for clients with alcohol and/or opioid addiction.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients enrolled in rehab aftercare programs have typically completed weeks or months of intensive treatment, often in inpatient detox and/or rehab centers, and may be receiving outpatient care. Drug rehab aftercare is designed to approach recovery as a life-long process. Clients and their case managers and care teams typically work together to formulate clients' continuing care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program facilitation, among other services.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs invoke spiritual principles to promote participants' psychological and emotional growth and healing, though religious affiliation is not required. Their primary treatment modalities include intensive peer support and recovery-focused life skills training based on the 12 steps of recovery. Participants regularly engage in peer-led group meetings, which are free, anonymous, and available throughout the day and night in most communities. Sponsors provide one-on-one mentoring as participants cultivate self-awareness, forgiveness, acceptance, and accountability.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

A drug intervention in Oklahoma can be an effective tool for a loved one who's struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Intervention services include trained interventionists to help families plan and carry out an intervention with their loved one. It is often helpful to involve a non-partial expert in this highly emotional process. The interventionist provides expert insight and can recommend the best course of treatment for the individual and family.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body after you've become physically dependent is through a medically assisted detox. Usually performed in an inpatient setting, a team of licensed medical professionals are tasked with monitoring your health and helping to minimize the risks and physical discomfort caused by withdrawal symptoms. Medically assisted detox is often the first step in the recovery process. After your body is safely free of substances, you'll likely transition to an inpatient treatment program to continue your recovery.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing may be used on its own or in conjunction with other treatment approaches. It is designed as a mode of communication rather than an intervention. It involves asking questions, listening, and encouraging clients to come to their own conclusions and feel empowered to make changes in their lives.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy teaches you the importance of nutrition in recovery and overall health. You'll learn healthy ways to eat, which gives you the energy and strength that are essential for recovery. This treatment may involve training in grocery shopping and meal preparation.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

nicotine iconNicotine Replacement Therapy

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Northwest makes my anxiety worse. They don't know how to provide professional services, they mix up your appointments, they always misplace your paperwork, and no one seems to be working on the same page.

Total joke of a mental health organization. After seeking help here for both me and my girlfriend.... that was a big mistake. No bloodwork done before shoving meds at people and little to zero help otherwise. Most of the staff was less than friendly and usually unwilling to help. Both of us where miss diagnosed and improperly prescribed medication. Haven't been back since March and will never return.

The people that answer the phone for this place are extremely RUDE and try to carry on conversations with other people in the office while answering the phone. Beyond ridiculous. Called to set up an appointment with this place but I will be going else where. Rudeness just from answering a phone call makes me think you guys lack basic service skills.

These people discharged a child without warning or notice, based on assumptions from notes from a therapist who has not been available for weeks. No one called to confirm that there was mental healthcare or medication management in place. The child was left without medication and another appointment was made for two more weeks out. Garbage.

posting pics cause none of the 3 facilities in question can be tagged ... which in truth the primary dr office should be mentioned as well because appt was set up by mental facilty and they can not make an appt sooner, seriously???so its truly the time to expose the mental health care scam .... a patient goes to st marys er in enid ... then sent to fort supply (a northwest behavioral facility) same night ... after about 3 weeks released with 2 weeks prescription only to get run around from enid northwest behavioral health facility to get to be seen and get scripts refilled but get run around and can not .. so goes back to st marys mental health in enid to get released after about 7 days with scripts .. st marys, however, this time helped client get set up on soonercare .. then can not get all scripts filled cause dr prescribed a med that costs more than soonercare will pay for so try to reach dr to get a less expensive med only to be denied ... so then go to northwest behavioral in enid to get sent back to fort supply (a northwest behavioral facility) ... after about 2 weeks get realeased with another 2 weeks of meds .. then go to northwest behavioral in enid to keep appt that was set up by fort supply .. get run around and told to set up with a primary dr office however that appt is set up for about 4 weeks later plus not seen for orginal purpose at northwest behavioral but get a new appt to be seen about a week later .. go to new appt (today) to be told can't refill scripts till see their mefication clinic in about 2 and 3 weeks from today (yes 2 appts) ... so conclusion... these 3 facilities are basically milking money from the soonercare system (or if lucky enough to be rich by milking your pocket book) by passing client back and forth and each time meds are changed but never given enough to make to next appt to get refilled ... so client ends back into the cycle of going off meds and being seen and readmitted to one or the other facilty to circle around again .... so what now ? client in position to wait for symptoms to resurface to begin cycle again ???? ... mental health clients are NOT BEING TREATED appropriately ... the system is nothing more than a milking money cycle .... oh and yet all 3 facilities deny that there is a long term facilty to go to ... even though a few were found online only to be told they need a referral (cause they are state ran) from one of the facilities client was seen at only to be told from those facilities they can not referrals ... seriously???????
