First Health Moore Regional HospitalOn Saturday, April 27, 2024, as I was leaving work, I got a dreaded telephone call in New York from a Nurse Monica that my son Nick was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in North Carolina. She said that he was diagnose with Acute Pancreatitis, kidney failure, inflammation running rampant throughout his body and they could not pinpoint the exact location and cause. Suffice it to say, it was really, really bad. By the next day, Sunday, I landed at the Raleigh Airport and went straight to the hospital. From the moment I stepped through the door of the reception area, the warmth that I received from the two elderly ladies at the front desk led me to believe the rest of the staff may be the same, and I was proven right. They sent me up to the Intensive Care Unit promptly and there, I was greeted with the same kindness and courtesy.I am still in awe of the treatment that was meted out to Nick, my sister and I, who met me at the hospital to give me support. They treated us like family members of the staff and allowed us to stay at the hospital for days, luggage and all, as we had not yet found a hotel. One of the nurses, (Ms. Shannon) went above and beyond her busy schedule to help us find accommodation. I did not know there was such a thing. We were offered food, bed sheets, pillows and everyone ensured that we were comfortable. My sister left after one week, and I practically lived in the hospital with Nick for three weeks and three days. The same treatment was meted out to us in the Medical Care Unit where Nick was transferred to later after several dialyses treatments and other procedures.I wholeheartedly say a big thank you to all the doctors, nurses and nurse assistants who have played significant roles in the recovery of my son, both in the Intensive Care and Medical Care Unit, respectively. I will name some that I have liaised with and remembered from memory, so if I have left anyone out, please forgive me. You are ALL awesome! From the Intensive Care Unit: Misses: Monica, Carrie, Suda, Shannon, Megan, Christy and Kathy; Messrs: Sheth, Vic, Lee, D. Feinstein, and Jerry.Medical Care Unit: Misses: J. Stoddard, Ell, Shaunae, Carmen, Veronica, Denice, Maribel (who is constantly in touch with us ensuring all is well), Grezzly, Glena, Beth A, Elizabeth, Vanessa and Tangela. Messrs: M. Meaford, B. Holler, Sheppard, and Bradley (nurse with Bradley). We were also graced with the presence of the CEO of all the First Health Moore Regional Hospitals, Mr. Mikey Foster, which was awesome.Special mention to other doctors that I did not get to meet but also played significant roles in Nick s recovery. They are: B. Taylor, S. Hribar, T. Kelly, R. Jasti, R. McLeroy, L. Kaufman, E. Owen Saric, R. Miller 3rd, K. Whinnen, M. Talley and K. Robinson. Thanks everyone for all you do!!I would therefore recommend this hospital to anyone because of the service and care they administer to patients and visitors.Elizabeth A. JohnsonPeekskill, New York

The VA in Sanford is legit. Recently retired (20 years ABN Infantry out of Fort Bragg, best job I ever had, #111 jumps into 4 continents) I had my very first visit and the staff was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions. They fixed my hearing aids on the spot and ordered me spare parts, immediately gave me needed immunizations, coordinated meds be delivered to my home, got me in touch with dental, I met my new PCM he's super professional and it's awesome how I can talk freely in laymans terms and the PCM understands my symptoms without using medical lingo, and much more in a matter of a couple hours. I had nice conversations with the vets in the waiting room. I highly recommend this VA and give it a strong 5 star rating.
