I had a great counselor by the name of Kim. She was extremely helpful. I loved her therapy dog named Merlin. The groups are only 8 girls, so we got along well. We were allowed to walk outside around the house enjoyed the scenery. Saw deer, horses. Had Oreo the house dog that lived there all the time. The lectures were very helpful in my understanding of alcoholism. Went out in evening to aa meeting in town. Food was very good, more than enough to eat. House overseers were very nice, specially snow.

There is something very special about this place. It took me nearly 2 years to get this thing in that time, I have been to other places. They were all good, but ARC is where I finally got it. My counselor, Janan, was amazing. The classes/teachers are great and the time you get to spend with Techs at the lodge talking recovery and learning from them is so powerful. All of the staff are very professional, caring, and really invested in each client. my aftercare plan was handled really well and I really felt set up for success. This place will forever have a special spot in my heart. The employees saved my life every single day for 30 days. The therapists are also something to not overlook, they go WAY above and beyond to educate what's really going on with our minds and body. I've been through 4 recovery centers, two in Kentucky one in California and then this one. I feel as if I could write a novel on how wonderful my experience at Pasadena was. If I had to boil it down to a couple of words, they would be: life changing. From the very moment I spoke with one of their intake professionals over the phone, I could tell that this place was different. When I walked through the doors on the very first day, at one of my lowest points, I was met with care and understanding. It is obvious each member of the team is there with the singular goal of helping people get better. The group therapy setting can be daunting, but Pasadena does it the right way.
