I was initially very apprehensive about starting treatment at a methadone clinic, having heard negative things about such facilities in general. I expected JRS to be no different, but they have completely transformed my view of methadone treatment and shown me how compassionate and caring the staff at MAT centers can be. The team at JRS is exceptional, and my counselor Hannah has been one of my biggest supporters I am incredibly thankful for her. The Insight Program was exactly what I needed. I came into the intensive outpatient program after being referred from an inpatient I attended in Georgia when I was 17 years old. I did 13 weeks of IOP and then stayed in their support group for 1 1/2 years. This program taught me how to be sober and live a sober lifestyle in a way that I could understand and relate to. I had been to 4 other treatment centers when I ended up here. I connected with this place the most because all of staff are in recovery and had gone through the program themselves. They were immediate examples that recovery was possible for me, and I knew they understood what I was going through because they had gone through it themselves. The meetings and functions gave me things to do in the evenings other than using substances and people my age who were sober to socialize with. This program gave me the environment and tools I needed to learn how be sober and take ownership over my life. I have 3 years sober next month and have fully transitioned into AA, but I will forever be grateful for my experience here and what I learned.

This was my first visit to this clinic and I was very anxious because of some bad reviews and negative feedback from friends. The anxiety caused my blood pressure to shoot up through the roof. However, Ms. Durham, the nurse, calmed me down and took my anxiety away. Ms. Durham is a pleasant person who does a great job. In addition, Dr. Lee is a great doctor who cares about his patients. He explained everything to me in detail, not only the medical aspect, but also the administration resources that are available for me. I am a hospital corpsman and I have been working in the medical field for decades. I can say that my experience at the VA clinic is not different from any other private clinic, if not better. I only gave this review 4 stars because the receptionist was not smiling nor was she welcoming either. In fact, I felt that she got frustrated with me because she was unable to find my appointment easily. Overall, I can sincerely say that my visit was great! Thanks to the VA and all the staff for providing exceptional services to our veterans!
