My mom had excellent care at Novant after her two strokes. Her nurses were very loving, and I felt they went above and beyond to be kind and respectful to my mom including touching her and making sure she was comfortable. The PT lady was also kind and excellent. Our case worker, Nakia, was superbly helpful answering my numerous questions and helping me move my mom into a single room hospice. My moms room was sizable and comfortable enough. It did need a good straightening, but I don't know what the protocol is on that. The palliative Dr. was an excellent resource. One of my moms doctors was very kind and helpful. The other one felt a bit cold and sharp with a negative view of hospice. One of the nurses told me was negative with anything outside of his scope. At no time did I feel my mom was neglected. I was happy with how helpful everyone is, and how much they called me to keep me in the loop.I feel like most people only write these reviews when they are unhappy, which makes people worry about their loved ones when they see all the negative reviews. I hope this puts at least one person at ease that their loved one is at this hospital. They took good care of my mom.PS- The People's Market offers good, nutritious food superior to the cafeteria within a short walk. They had excellent smoothies and good salads. I feel like this helped me keep up my strength and health.

There are some very caring and compassionate people here. The area and endorse are very well kept and very clean.. the intake process is going to take you anywhere from 4 to 8 hours. So so decided to say where you have nothing else that needs to be done you have to get there very early preferably before 8 and this earlier you get there the faster you get out of there. The only other thing to say is don't show up after 12 at 12:01 you will be turned away.. sick or not. They do not play about timeliness. Trust me I know!
