Eh..on one hand I owe them for helping me when I was in a very bad situation so I have to say that much. On the other I have never had an organization refuse to listen to my feedback like Mohawk Opportunities. The staff at lower levels are grouchy and talk down to you, it's very demoralizing and triggers the very issues they claim to be helping me with. I guess what I'm saying is the staff needs sensitivity training, particularly for someone claiming to work in the mental health field. I'm high functioning so if I'm getting treated like this I fear for the other clients.So sometimes I feel patronized, I get the feeling they aren't familiar with clients with cptsd. However, I am eternally grateful to these folks for aiding me & giving me a beautiful 1st apartment. Thank you everyone at Mohawk & because of that you get 4 stars despite my concerns.Edit: adding a star as they've grown on me & I do appreciate their help.

If I were to have a second family, then spark would be them! Dr L and Zac have helped me transform my life into a happy and sober Mom! I have 7 years clean from heroin now! The help that they have given me is absolutely priceless! Please get help, you can do this!

Laura in the PFT lab is AMAZING. She is very welcoming and doesn't make leave you there in awkward silence between "labs". She remembered me from the first time I was there and made me feel welcome,even under the circumstances. I would absolutely recommend Ellis and Laura if you have to have any breathing tests done.

I was there back in 98-99 and really started working a program when my county decided that hey had Tx for me there and within 6 weeks I went back out, came back in again and again until mid 2002. I still remember my counselor at Purcell, Andrew saying that everything I lost due to alcohol and/or drugs will come back to me in a bigger, better form and he was so right! I am so happy to see Purcell House is still there-just not so happy why it needs to be! Thanks

I ve been going here since my suicide attempt in May of 2017 and I honestly couldn t be happier with the doctors I have. I d never been able to find a therapist I clicked with until I got here (Miklos). I will admit that I endured a couple years of suffering under the spacey and aggressive rule of Dr Mittol, who used the threat of withholding refills to force me into bending to his arbitrary rules, but I was able to switch to a better psychiatrist, and once that one retired I was sent to an even better one (Dr Mantas) who I am so pleased with.I ve even started seeing the primary care here (Dr Ferro) so I have all my needs available in one building, and I have to say he too is probably the most personable and attentive PCP I ve ever had.It s always clean and everyone has always been pleasant.Very little funding and care is allocated to health care in this awful country, in general, so this is of course going to be especially true for mental health services, which aren t taken as seriously by really anyone. It is because of this national systemic problem that I think someone may have struggles getting an appointment or finding the doctor who is right for them. The benefits of this field aren t grand, so I do truly believe the people working here are doing so because they are passionate about what they do. Some doctors are jerks (like my old psychiatrist), but please try to remember that the people here are also constantly being obstructed from providing full care by our privatized, for-profit health care system.

They are alway helpful and alway work around my schedule with my kids.

My Uncle Frank J Bielawa was admitted to the /Albany /VA the first week of December recovering from Pneumonia and Covid-19. He unfortunately suffered a massive stroke just days into his recovery and is now receiving End of Life care.Frank is a 99 year old WW2 Veteran and the care he's receiving from the VA Staff on 8th Floor/ B Corridor has been Outstanding.The attending staff across all 3 shifts has attended to my uncle keeping him comfortable and clean in such a respectful and professional manner, its been overwhelming from my past experiences visiting other private facilities.For Veterans who are in need of Medical Help and Assistance, the Albany VA and the Staff of the 8 Floor are the Standard for Excellence in Veteran Care.On behalf of my Uncle Frank who has lost the ability to communicate, thank you , thank you , thank you ...10 Stars

Camino Nuevo, has been my cornerstone for my continued and successful recovery. I did not believe I would have had such great results or have had met and worked with the professional staff and friendly and helpful resources, that have made available, for the clients. God Bless the services and outreach programs at Camino Nuevo. I highly recommend Camino Nuevo for I am very confident others will have similar success, just as long as one gives their trust and commitment, Camino will be sure to assist with all else that's required to continue their support and care in keeping one safe during the difficult times that possibly lie ahead and involve a strong team and staff to complete their goals in remaining clean and healthy. I use to come here for years and then I moved and have been guest dosing - my husband and I - and there s no clinic available in the area not even Kingston.My home clinics still Binghamton - I emailed and emailed and no response a whenever i go in their busy. They know me,They were both my counselors before I left.I just need to have my insurance cover bc it s expensive and taking from my kids and I cannot keep borrowing. Please just let us be patients there or help us set up a can every day 4 hours a day to get to Binghamton. But doing that will affect me working. Idk im just fed up and I wish I wasn t on the dose I am or I d just stop.Yet id still give 5 stars bc everyone is just really sweet.

They are very supportive, they are honest with you and want you to recover in an effective way, so they help you find the right center.
