This place is awesome. I utilized this program for my needs. My worker helped me out with other programs to get me enrolled with my education in which I have completed. It took me a while, to open myself up but I did because I wanted a change. This works when you work it. Awesome team work . Love love love them

Hi my name is Susie, I am an alcoholic and drug addict. My sober date is 8/19/2022. On August 19th, 2022, I entered NHM Barryville, seeking answers to my family and childhood trauma and to learn more about the disease of addiction. I am not the same woman who entered those doors in Barryville almost two years ago. What should be mentioned is that the beginning of recovery is very difficult. 28-Day programs only touch the surface I say this because at 3 months, that s when the real work began. I attended NHM Barryville Inpatient Residential Program for Women for about 6 months.At NHM Barryville, women were able to choose which groups they would like to take. There are five groups that women attend from 8am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Some examples of these groups are ACOA, Brain and Addiction Seminar,Sober Support, WRAP, Meditation Classes, Trauma: the Body Keeps Score, Team Building, Sign Language, DBT, CBT, Microsoft Office, Etc. Think of NHM Barryville as an opportunity to not only learn about how addiction affects your childhood to now, but to learn skills to cope with emotional reactivity, re-enter the workforce and explore hobbies and interests.Women are paired with a case manager/CASAC, and Clinical Social Worker. My CASAC was Abbe. She is kind-hearted, nurturing, and had unwavering patience with me as I began my journey. Deena, is a Clinical Social Worker that has been with the agency for over ten years and has profound knowledge on everything from addiction, any DSM-5 diagnosable mental illness and is a phenomenal advocate for her clients. NHM Barryville is a program that has the potential to open your innermost door to freedom, if you allow it to. It is a tough environment but well worth the time I spent there becoming reacquainted with myself. Other benefits of the program include No cell phone (This is a good thing trust me!), Weekend recreation, opportunities to take leadership roles, Living Room with a TV, Use of computers in the computer lab, In-House physician, family style meals at Holidays, visits with family, etc. I can go on about NHM Barryville, however, rehab is what you make of it. I implore anyone who has a desire to stop using drugs and alcohol and reform their life to take a chance and try it out.After Barryville I had the opportunity to live at NHM Poughkeepsie Transitional Living (Sober House). At NHM POK I learned how to transition back into society. I learned about community resources that could help me in Dutchess County. I overcame numerous fears (i.e. re-entering the workforce, dealing with conflict at work, and with peers, choosing healthy relationships, etc.). I learned the importance of how programs such as outpatient, mental health therapy and Alcoholics Anonymous, would be vital to my recovery when I was discharged and living on my own (all of which I attend today). At NHM POK women have the opportunity to see the CASAC Clinical Social Worker (Elisa) once a week, and attend 2 house meetings. Women are required to re-enter the workforce, with the intention to save money to transition to independence. The Clinical Program Director, Erika, is available every single day from 7am to 3pm. These women have been pivotal in my recovery as well. Lorraine is the Vocational Counselor, She teaches us how to be financially responsible and take accountability in how we manage our professional lives. In addition to Erika, Lorraine and Elisa, Clinical Support Staff is available at all times these women provided me with comfort and safety every step of the way.The key takeaway is that I am blessed to have the opportunity to make contact with women across the board at NHM, Inc. who are aspirational role models of grace and dignity as well as dedicated advocates that helped me reach my goals.

My wife and I came here for the birth of our child. The maternity ward was absolutely stellar in their service. Everybody we interacted with was very professional and courteous, particularly all of the nurses. Lorraine was extremely knowledgeable and on top of everything. Morgan, Bianca, and Nicolle were sweethearts. Great bedside manner and always a quick buzz away. Carrie and Sue, our nursery nurses, were warm and great with our little one. Any concerns or requests for medication were attended to immediately. When the decision for a c-section was made, our baby boy was with us no sooner than 30 minutes later. The doctors were all thorough, kind, and talented in carrying out the surgery with no complications. The entire experience was reassuring and comfortable throughout. Everything we needed was provided to us. Room was comfortable. Food service was prompt. Honestly couldn't have had a better experience. Perfect remarks for everyone involved!

Posting this review on behalf of a family member: I recently visited Garnet Medical Center radiology and lab in Harris, New York for testing. I wanted to commend nurse Natasha for her exceptional service. I have mobility issues, and had challenges that I was ready to give up on. Natasha persisted and came up with creative solutions to make sure I was comfortable and cared for, before and during my procedure. She was professional, cheerful, efficient and very caring. Everything you want in a healthcare provider. I should also mention my Radiologist, Archet, who guided me through my procedure with a level of professionalism and compassion that deserves recognition. Garnet Medical is very lucky to have Natasha and Archet on your staff.

I just left Garnet (08/26/24) after having gall bladder surgery. I'm 84 and have experienced much pain in my lifetime, but NOTHING compared to this gall bladder attack. I was there for 5 days because of the severity of the gall bladder and related health issues. I have, in all of my lifetime, NEVER had better, friendly, caring, courteous care at any hospital anywhere. The surgical team is amazing. I was treated as a valued patient rather than like a piece of meat as I and my wife were at other hospitals. The nursing staff was beyond fantastic. The cleaning staff was very competent. ALL of the staff went above and beyond what any person would expect at any hospital.For those people who gripe about meaningless petty things, like checking in at the kiosk, I say stop and smell the roses. I, too, had trouble at the kiosk, but 10 feet away were 2 people at a desk who checked me in within a matter of half a minute when I went for tests.

I am a disabled veteran and have been seen at the Goshen VA Clinic regularly since 2016. The care there has always been excellent. It is a small clinic, so you have to adapt to their resources, like, that the lab work is only done in the mornings, and the My Healthy Vet self-service kiosk doesn't work, but the reception staff have always been very good.

The best. I've never had a doctor better than Rehmani and the receptionists/nurses are the kindest. I feel much more understood here than my previous past doctors.

The therapist that I have now is wonderful. Maureen is very personable and seems like she truly cares about you. There have been times where I have had to stop treatment due to lack of insurance and each time I have came back she has remembered me. That makes me feel confident in telling her everything.The doctor I have this time is much better. The man who used to be there was very rude and I felt that he did not care. Dr. Belkin takes her time to discuss everything with you and makes sure to answer any questions.I miss Nicole, who used to work at the front desk. She always greeted me with a smile and did her best to work with my schedule. The new lady is very rude, she ignores you when you walk in and does not try to accommodate any changes. My hours change frequently and she just keeps pushing my dates back further and further. I asked her if I was able to make 2 apts and call to tell her which I could make she was very rude and just told me no. That makes me feel unimportant.
