As a clinical social worker running a local group practice, I regularly collaborate and refer clients to Mountainside Treatment Center. Their staff has always been exceptional, especially Courtney Hulse and Dan Sexton, who go above and beyond in tailoring their treatment plans for each client and family. Mountainside serves as a tremendous resource, providing quality substance abuse treatment that is critically needed here on Long Island. This place literally saved my life & that is not an exaggeration by any means. The rehab I was at before coming to NJRC seemed like it could have cared less if I lived, relapsed or died. I was in excruciating pain the entire time I was there and just kept getting worse. And I thought NJRC was going to be more of the same. But thank the good lord I was dead wrong. Everyone from the techs in the housing like Alex, Luis, etc.. to the people who run the center - Ritchie, Jeremy, Tommy, etc.. helped me to get well every single day plus, my Therapist Rachel was a Godsend. She is like the sweetest person on the planet & helped get my life back on track . to the group facilitators like Phil, Theresa, Jessica, Karen, etc.. who made each and everyday a learning experience.. to the house managers Sue & my man Kenny who is from Queens, NY like myself who made my stay there as comfortable as possible not to mention people like Courtney, Kiyana, Phyllis(nutritionist), Dr. Cherrie Zapata who all helped in too many ways to count I could go on & on I highly recommend this place to anyone who is trying to better their life by giving up drugs & alcohol God Bless NJRC!

No other place had helped me in the way that I have needed but here. Ascendant has become my second home and I will never forget all the staff who had a part in my recovery. Everyone is extremely kind, loving, and highly trained. I am do grateful for everyone there!

I was fortunate to have an amazing recovery coach through Mountainside, Travis Alfonso! He was a huge support in my early recovery. I could go to him with anything. He checked in frequently and we always had great sessions. He's what I'll miss most after moving on from Mountainside. Highly recommend working with him, especially if you're just starting your recovery journey. He always keeps it real and meets you on your level. Thanks for everything, Travis!

Has Volleyball on Thursdays 5:00 to 6:00 PM and contains other events like workshops that are free to join!

Inter-Care is the best outpatient program ever. The staff is great, but mostly, I love the small groups and their format.

Beautiful facility for a healing environment, knowledgeable professionals, and life altering care. Their adolescent unit K House is phenomenally designed for optimal recovery and continue academics along w/ state the art practices. Their dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) program has highly trained staff and practitioners to optimize therapy outcomes.

I cannot recommend The Center for Discovery enough. I had the pleasure of working in collaboration with them, supporting their clients through psychological evaluations. What I appreciate most about the Center for Discovery is that the clinicians don t just sit across from you in a clinical, detached way they are in it with you. They share in your tears and your laughter, offering both empathy and strength in equal measure. They genuinely want what is best for their clients and are not afraid to actively pursue that even if it goes outside of the box. What sets the Center for Discovery apart is their unwavering commitment to walking alongside you on your journey, offering a sense of companionship and healing that is rare to find. They truly provide a refuge - a home away from home. I feel incredibly grateful to have been asked to aid with their client services, and I know that anyone who seeks services here will be in the best of hands.
