I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

Mountain Valley has truly been a lifesaver to our family! It is a special place made up of special people who have both the expertise and the caring hearts to support both their residents and their families during a very difficult time. They were able to turn my daughter s bright light back on that had been dimmed due to anxiety and depression. They educated her to help her understand what she was going through, gave her coping skills for when she experiences her highs and lows, and helped her to learn strategies and routines that allow her to maintain a healthier lifestyle. They also helped and supported our family to learn what we could do to better support her. In connecting with the other residents and forming incredibly close friendships, for the first time, our daughter didn t feel alone in what she was going through. The therapists and staff at Mountain Valley are unmatched in the way they care about and connect with the residents. My daughter really trusted them and finally had hope that she could get better.
