MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I ve been to. They believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I ve also seen some negative, and it s a shame those people didn t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

Writing on behalf of my mother s experience. My mom has had several surgeries here and last year my mom had an AWFUL experience ONLY with the nurses and no other staff members - nurses were hostile towards her and me? Last year I was embarrassed to have to confront the nurses chilling on their phones and gossiping in the nurses station due to the call bell going off for almost 15 mins on a quiet and quaint medsurge unit? As a fellow healthcare professional who works at Cornell in the city and is held to the highest standards, I was so upset at how she was treated back in 2023 with hostility (if I ever had the hostile work ethic some of these nurses had last year, I d immediately be fired like have some compassion or don t be a nurse maybe?) but this year was an amazing experience and sooo much better. I wanna give a special shoutout to the attentive and compassionate CNA s/PCT s/Nurses who work on the 6th/5th floor Kelly, Keysean, Fay, and Laura. This year Kelly, Laura, Keysean, and miss Fay were INCREDIBLE!!!! they were super patient, responsive and listened to my mothers needs they are incredible healthcare professionals and very empathetic. I also think the food service workers deserve a special shoutout too, they were super sweet and delivered food in a timely manner (I even wanted to eat the food because of how yummy it was and I wasn t even the patient lol) environmental services also deserve a shoutout for the cleanliness of the rooms and hospital! :) shoutout to everyone who cared for my mom during this intense surgery everyone from the techs, to the nurses to the food workers and the environmental services!
