I as a young teenager ended up here as well in 1987-1988. I was a very troubled teen with a lot of trust issues towards adults. I stayed on the lowest level of the behavioral level system for a long while until I agreed to try medication as a alternate helping tool. I went straight to the top of the level system and stayed there til I went home. Thank you to all the people who helped me and made me who I am today. I remember making a video for the house of the good shepherd as a model and would really love to get a copy of that video from so long ago.

Soo.. my counselor Carolyn Diehl is the most phenomenal woman I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I'd like to say a few things about this lady. She completely changed my life even though she'll never say it had anything to do with her thats its all you. You put in the work ... yea yea yea but she really has. I've had the pleasure of working with her for a little over a year. I've never met a more dedicated, caring, courageous counselor in my entire life. She has saved my life more times than I can count by her group sessions where i've met some amazing people and built some great connections with over the last year. Her 1:1 sessions and yes her emails as well. She always checks in with you even though that may just be her job she never forgets and is always there anytime you need her. I've been through a lot this year losing a lot...and gaining even more. And I can say from the bottom of my heart I couldn't have gotten where I am today without her. She deserves the world on silver platter for the work she does day to day. And P.S to the agencies management she definitely deserves a raise for the work she puts in. She gave me my life back. Yes I know..everyone will say she's just a counselor. But, to me she's so much more. Thank you for being so involved with the work you do and caring as much as you do. I don't think I could ever repay you for being such a wonderful human being. There's not many people out there anymore that do the work because they actually care and I can say from my own personal experience she does. With her whole heart. To anyone that gets a chance to work with her stick with her she'll push you to be the greatest versions of yourselves. In the end I promise you'll thank her. I have a great therapist here, Paige, whom I've been seeing over a year and a half...We're just getting into the crucial issues that have made therapy necessary for me, and she's helping me get a grip on the hidden pain, difficult memories, and emotional suffering that remained after a course of CBT with another therapist at a different clinic. CBT is great in some ways but to recover from C-PTSD requires some time spent in regular one-on-one psychotherapy, where trauma is addressed and emotions are released in a safe environment.As much as the CBT at the other treatment center I went to helped me with applying logic to my then out-of-control emotions, it was time for another tactic so that I could complete my journey of healing. This is that continued journey.I'm going to continue my progress here with Paige and am optimistic about my future as I break the lifelong hold past trauma has had upon me.Thank you, Liberty.

Both times I've needed urgent care, SCHC got me in fast and took fabulous care of me (even better than my own PCP). What my pcp thought as only a virus, turned into strep for 8 days. SCHC gave me antibiotics and within 36 hours, I feel SO MUCH BETTER. I am switching my care to the health center ASAP!

I loved it there. When I got out I for some reason wanted to go back. It felt like home. We heard stories about the old building and it not being the best but the new building was great. The staff were awesome watching movies and playing games with them were the best things ever. Staff are great at their jobs. Foods actually pretty good. Their chicken reggies was so good. We only had 6 people in my ward during my stay. They were good kids I liked most of them. By the way if anyone found mine and Alexa s custom uno cards lmk.
