Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

One of the worst ER I've been in, nurse's loudly complaining about other staff, one nurse was harassing every EMT that came in because she couldn't figure out "which one didn't like working with her". It's like being in HS again, nothing but drama around people who need medical assistance. This place is a disgrace to the medical field and emergency rooms. I would highly suggest going out of town to be seen if possible.

Went in with chest and abdominal pain with a pain level of 8. I told the triage nurse all my symptoms and he proceeded to ask me if I had been there a week before. I haven t been to unity ER since 2020. Then I hear him tell the next patient about frequent flyers and how they just come in for anything all the time. He proceeded to skip over multiple times. I waited over 3 and a half hours to be admitted. Spent 3 days at Unity and was discharged with an extremely elevated white blood cell count and not have been able to keep solid foods down for over 5 days. Went to St Vincent the same day, they were appalled I was discharged and spent 2 days there and got the care I needed. From admittance to the care received, I cannot give Unity a low enough rating

Been going down hill for a long time. And they are doing some odd and scary crap. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES for starters. My brother was brought in Tuesday by cops they found him drunk passed out. Once they got them to hospital they put him on 72 hour hold. Well yesterday they told him they are sending him to compass for treatment, he of course was confused told them no he doesn't need that kind of treatment and isn't going. They told him again he needed go there and wanted him sign papers again he said no and if you aren't gonna keep me here for 72 hold I'm going home, they told him no he can't go home. My mom was with him they called the cops. They couldn't give any reason why he needed go, what treatment, the psychiatrist wouldn't even come in the room talk to my mom or brother. And kept trying force him to go and sign papers. Once my mom left there 11pm yesterday they tried forced him again and they went ahead and took him to compass. We got ahold of attorney and them. He is there and refused again sign for treatment or anything. Please pray and be careful this hospital is doing scray shit. They wouldn't tell my mom or brother the name of the psychiatrist which he has a right to know, why he was going, they wouldnt give him his medical records they went against every patient rights, and human rights at this point. Keep in mind we are free people inmates cant even be force into meds or treatment without a court order. Please read the code and laws in AR. For the 72 hour hold and your rights it's scary time we live in. Please do not go to this hospital, it needs be shut down. They are holding him against his will.

You would be better if going to a veterinarian than going here.Worst hospital I have ever seen. The staff are all very rude. They all claim to know nothing and that they don t know when someone who knows something will come check on you.Once you leave the ER and are admitted to the hospital you can t get anyone to tell you anything about your treatment, who your doctor is, how long you will be in the hospital or what therapy you will be given.I ve never heard of a hospital telling a patient you need to see a cardiologist. We do not have one here. Here is a phone number for one you can call. But he doesn t come here you will have to call him for an appointment. How do I know when I can make an appointment with that doctor when you don t know when you are going to release me because you don t know when the next time a doctor will be on rounds. They should close this place down except for the ER. Once the ER decides you need admitted they should send you to a hospital where they might not kill you.

3 weeks ago my aunt had fallen and hit her head and had hip pain, aShe went to the ER by ambulance and was determined to have non opfractures in her pelvis and they had faile to mention she had fluid on her brain and still does ,while there waiting to go to rehab she got MRSA and pneumonia and told she experienced a mild heart attack 5days prior, and shipped her off to rehab, even tho it was obvious she was in no condition to go,after a week she was sent back to the ER by ambulance in extremely terrible health,,of the course of the next 10 days or so she kept getting worse and wasn't being told much of anything, they had ran this test and that test and put this up one end and that down the other end ,she started bleeding extremely and was losing white cells to the point of needing blood transfusions, the hospital had no idea so they said what was going on,they had to have a infectios disease specialist come help and still didnt know what was goingwith her and still don't, so they say a non active ulser caused it ,and my aunt had never once had a problem with it , 5'1" and 80lbs and with only one kidney was giving so many pills and liquid antibiotics ,till she began to bleed ,and my aunt and cousin were still given run around awnsers ,but was told she be going to rehab again, soon, their is still so much more that has happen,,,, to anyone and everyone that has to go to the ER and have a stay at the hospital, if at all possible go to another hospital as I sit writing this and looking at my aunt in another rehab and bedridden, and no recollection or memory of anything that she had gone Thru or any of the little information they gave her while at the hospital ,that hospital isn't a place of healing,,it's a.place of experimetation of people over a certain age and especially the elderly, we can't begin to imagine what they do to patients with no family to keep a watchful eye, they have hurt alot of people and many have died because of their lack of education lack of communication, down to not having any knowledge of the patients and their charts,a medical license from a Cracker Jack box where it seems where hot their certificates,
