About New Vision – Jefferson Stratford Hospital
New Vision in Stratford, New Jersey is a medical detox clinic. They monitor and help stabilize clients as they withdraw from opioids, alcohol, cocaine, benzodiazepines or combined substances.
If you are in the South Jersey area and looking for a safe and quiet place to take the first step to recover from substances, New Vision may be what you are looking for. They accept most insurance plans.
It’s important to note that New Vision is not a drug rehab clinic. They focus only on the crucial first step in recovery. New Vision has no waitlist and they always try to get you admitted on the same day.
To be admitted, first you’ll go through a quick pre-screening to make sure you are a candidate. This takes less than 10 minutes. Next, you will be admitted and have a full medical assessment. This will allow staff to create a treatment plan that is right for your needs.
At New Vision, admission is always voluntary.
You will be assigned a hospital bed and get 24-hour monitoring by a doctor and nurses. Most people stay for 3 days but you might need an extra day or two.. You’ll work together with New Vision staff to make a next steps plan. This may include residential or intensive outpatient treatment.
During your stay, you will get medications to help ease your withdrawal symptoms. I think it’s wise that before you leave, you’ll have a follow-up appointment scheduled with New Vision.
Levels of Care
Partial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
Treatment
Substance Abuse
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
