outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Traditional outpatient services are the least restrictive means of treatment and may include individual, group, family and medication management focused treatment. These outpatient services are based on the client’s needs and may involve weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly scheduled sessions.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

The New Oakland FACE to FACE Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) focuses on children, adolescents and adults with emotional, behavioral, and/or chemical abuse problems. It is less intensive and restrictive than the FACE to FACE partial day program, taking place on three non-consecutive days per week and lasting three hours per visit. It is a modified, less restrictive component of the FACE to FACE partial day programs, still featuring group, individual and family therapies that effectively deal with crisis, depression and conflict through the acquisition of social, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. With the New Oakland IOP, an individual continues to live at home and remain engaged in his or her own life, continuing to go to work or school while developing the skills he or she needs with the help and support of the program.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

While many people know it as "day treatment", a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers treatment during the day and allows you to live at home. PHP treatment typically requires a commitment of at least 20 hours of treatment every week, with a program duration that spans approximately 90 days. While commuting is necessary, some programs offer telehealth options. PHP treatment plans usually include relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Michigan is essential for certain phases of recovery treatment. During detox, many physical ailments related to the detox process can be lethal if not treated. Having medical staff available at all times provides the proper care for safe detox. Medications and other treatment can also make the process much more comfortable and bearable.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

During a medically supervised detox, addictive substances are removed from your body while under the 24/7 supervision of medical professionals in an inpatient environment. This is the safest way to wean your body off of addictive substances, since quitting alcohol or certain drugs (like opioids or benzodiazepines) can be dangerous if done on your own. The program typically lasts around 5-7 days, but is highly individualized depending on your needs.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Addiction often involves intense situations and emotions. Dialectical behavior therapy helps you understand and regulate your emotions and better manage the situations that evoke those feelings. You'll receive mindfulness training and stress management training to cope more effectively with difficult emotions.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

During motivational interviewing, therapists express empathy, support self efficacy, and develop discrepancies. By using these techniques, therapists help clients reflect on their desires for change and understand why and how they should move forward with those changes.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Both internal and external factors can put stress on a relationship. Couples therapy helps you and your partner work through those stressors and find healthy ways to deal with challenges as they arise.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Every single time I call to make an appointment I get hung up. Then, after I manage to get an appointment, I have to wait hours to be seen. It's not worth it.

I started going here yesterday and the people are very patient and understanding. People normally don't put reviews unless something bad happens, I just wanted to share how my experience was. They are also willing to help and they know what they're doing. I would 100% recommend coming here.

They screwed up billing, lied about it to me and refused to see my daughter or refill her prescriptions because of it. Thank God for her pediatrician for taking over meds while we found a better place. Pretty sure they owe me money after they eventually correctly billed the insurance. My daughter hated it here. This place only wants your money. Zero help. Don't bring anyone you love here.

Having to take my daughter, the ladies have made it the best experience that I ve had in a long time other than my own therapist so I appreciate the ladies that are trying to make a smooth transition for my daughter :) and thank you, Phyllis, as she is my daughters therapist, and we are really starting to make progress even within the first couple of weeks!

Get a better receptionist. As I called this location on accident rather than the location my daughter goes to. I asked to cancel her apt and she told me I'm not calling the right location. When I told her to give me a second so I can look to see if I had the right location she hung up on me. When people are seeking therapy the last thing you should ever do is have an unfriendly and unwelcoming receptionist

If I could give this place a zero I would. Started with high hopes in their PHP program, opened up about some really deep trauma, only to be told a day later that they had fired their ONLY therapist on staff the Friday prior (so they had been aware for 6 days, and told no one) and did not have a replacement and did not know when they were getting one. Needless to say, I wasted time and money and was traumatized all over again for nothing. Came out feeling worse and am now trying to find another program. So unprofessional and was very discouraged. Hope they can get it together for the other patients there.
