Avenues was my 3rd treatment center that I ve been to and hopefully my last. Just to get it out of the way it s not the Ritz Carlton by any means but the place is well taken care of and comfortable considering it holds up to 49 men and women in three different buildings. There s a gym with some amenities to get a good workout in and they feed us very well. What more do you need?Honestly I can say so many wonderful things about this place but I ll try to keep it short and sweet. Most of the staff were extremely helpful and caring. They truly do care, and it shows. Most of them have been in treatment themselves and understand the disease of addiction first hand. The groups were always informative and engaging and counseling is offered as well. What really stood out to me and made my treatment experience different from the others was the other clients. The camaraderie between us all was something I had never experienced in my life and made me feel a part of. The bonds that I created were genuine and for the first time in my life I felt accepted. The opposite of addiction is connection and I found just that at Avenues. I felt for the first time that I could just be myself, my true authentic self, and everyone accepted me and loved me for who I was and where I was at.Karaoke Sundays were the highlight of my week. To be real it was my first time doing Karaoke! They say to stay sober you gotta do things you ve never done and it starts with getting out of your comfort zone and being vulnerable.HERE S THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTYou will get back exactly what you put in and if you choose to just let those walls down and let others see you, you will be OK.They also offer an Alumni program so when you graduate and get out you can stay connected with others who have graduated and are on the path of recovery. You can get involved with a bunch of different activities and get togethers which are all free!I realize I m not alone anymore and I can t say how grateful I am for that. One last thing STEVE THE ALUMNI DIRECTOR FUCKING ROCKS

Gorgeous serene location. Not sure many walk down to the pond/lake. Outdoor picnic tables for contemplation. Privacy is a Huge plus adding to focus.Haven't been there in over a year. I hope it hasn't lost its "run down summer camp" vibe I read in the other review that it's new (renovated) because a lot of charm is in the larger room with books.Casual with Excellent Experienced Highly empathetic dedicated counselors. They've seen it all. The composition of "Patients" is quite varied. You can have a Professor making buddies with a plumber. I mean this in the best way & you already know that's how it works ideally. I just want to encourage people to not stereotype it as one socioeconomic group or another. But yeah mostly white.Great place.

I went to ORH for treatment back in 2019/2020. With serious hard work and self reflection. Taking the program seriously and not just come here for a bed to look good on court documents or probation. It is an awesome program and has a high success rate. ORH will NOT discharge someone if he is doing everything that is asked of him, attending groups, meeting, participation around the house, and keeping a clean room, People who do not take the program seriously will have bad reviews. Family/friends writing reviews on others behalfs don't know the real reasons why other were discharged. And could have happened for a number of reasons. I truly enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend the program to others.
