About New Existence Recovery

New Existence Recovery is a state-of-the-art substance abuse recovery facility in Costa Mesa, California. Their program goes beyond treating drug and alcohol addiction by supporting clients in other areas of their lives for a true new beginning. They serve adult clients.

New Existence Recovery provides broad support for clients’ careers and emotional well-being. They also have a specialized recovery program for couples. Services include detox, residential treatment, and outpatient treatment.

Detoxifying under the care and direction of medical professionals is the safest way to withdraw from drugs. During this stage, clients are assisted by staff in managing their withdrawal symptoms. Staff also prepare clients for the next step of treatment.

While participating in the residential program, clients live in a luxury recovery residence. Staff are present to provide care 24 hours a day. Clients follow a structured schedule of treatment and recovery activities, the core of which are therapy and education groups designed to help clients recognize their triggers and develop actionable coping skills.

The outpatient program is a less intensive form of treatment where clients live at home and visit the facility on a regular basis to participate in treatment. Treatment in the outpatient program focuses on therapy and group activities.

New Existence Recovery is accredited by The Joint Commission.

New Existence Recovery accepts many major insurance plans. Before enrolling, however, clients should confirm coverage with their provider, since in network and out of network benefits may vary.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

New Existance was my 7th Rehab facilty in 5 years. It was also my last recovery facility. Each road to recovery is unique but it should lead to a life of being clean and sober. I attended New Existance in June of 2017. I wanted to spend my Birthday clean and sober. After one week and the day after my birthday i relasped. I was done. I had to meet with the owner to determine what i wanted to do and my options. After talking to the owner...Dylan and hearing his road to recovery. I decided i wanted to try again.Dylan and the staff trulyencouraged me and showered me with love and kindness i had never felt in any other rehab facility.I finally felt ready to leave by this time i was family, and many of my brothers and sisters at New Existance didnt want to see me go. I am proud to say that i have been clean and sober over 2 years. I have alot of respect and admiration for Dylan, staff, clients. I owe my success to New Existance.Thank you Dylan and everyone at New Existance, I have finally been set free from my drug addiction.Although these days are a bit scary I can face them with a clear and sober mind. I love you guysThank you,Bernie M.V.

Best Treatment center I have ever been to hands down! This is my 4th time being in treatment and wish I knew about this place before. I came out here on February 27th from Virginia and I was broken, beat down, and physically and mentally unhealthy from the abuse of alcohol. I now live in one of their sober living s and my life is amazing without relying upon alcohol or weed to make me feel happy. I now know what the feeling of happy, joyous, and free means and it wouldn t have happened without new existence helping me get back on the right track. Thank you Dylan and all the staff for all you have done and continue to do for me!

Ive been at new existence since February. They never gave up on me & gave me several chances to get it right. Finally my last time i got it together & today i completed the program. Im headed home to Tennessee to be with my son. All the staff bent over backwards to make sure the clients are taken care of. Darlene, my case manager was amazing. As well as my therpist Andi. The sober living houses are beautiful. Im blessed to have had this experience and now move on to the next part of my journey.
