outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients in a rehab aftercare program have typically completed detox and intensive inpatient and are medically stable. These programs are designed to address addiction recovery as a life-long process. Outpatient counseling and recovery education are typically categorized as drug rehab aftercare, but many clients continue to receive support after being discharged from formal outpatient treatment. Case managers and recovery teams facilitate clients' access to peer coaching, career counseling, 12 step program induction, and related services.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in New Jersey typically follows a set structure of treatment. The therapist helps clients identify their life challenges and their thoughts surrounding those challenges. The client then learns to identify unhealthy thought patterns and reshape those into healthy patterns of thinking and behavior.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical means opposing. The premise of dialectical behavior therapy is to learn how two things that seem to be opposite can actually be true. You learn how to accept yourself while also making changes. The focus is on accepting your emotions and changing how you manage them.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

During individual therapy for drug addiction, patients receive a customized and tailored approach to understanding their unique circumstances and providing them with targeted interventions. These include coping skills, relapse prevention plans, and developing resilience, all of which are essential for long term recovery.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing helps clients find their motivation to change. It can be an effective method to work with clients who are angry or hostile or feel insecure about their ability to make changes in their lives. It is often used during addiction treatment or to manage physical health conditions.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

family iconFamily Therapy

Family therapy sessions address addiction related conflicts and other issues between members of the family unit. By strengthening communication and coping skills, as well as creating a nurturing environment, the family can help support their loved one's recovery.

Love these reviews. Sounds like Paterson Counseling in the 80- 90s. Lines went around the.block.Just as many dealers on main st, as ppl waiting to get in to dose.Counseling was just a silly policy they were mandated to have." Us versus them" mentality was the norm. Not familiar with this place ,but I'm 66 yrs old now & in south jersey at a clinic in Brick.Monthly take homes. Only 400 ppl. Medicare pays. It's all good so far. These places vary, move on if you can. Don't wait 30 years like I didGood luck my brothers & sisters

The tech opened and left out the door while I was putting my clothes together and closed my sample out of staff and my view. So this must be condoned here by staff because her reply " I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable" if the shoe was on the other foot. They aren't listed as any accredited place period.

ORIGIN POST (May '23): The staff miscommunicates information to patients consistently. Even if you follow the rules and are compliant they still cancel appts, stall you on take home bottles, and place you in mandatory groups where other patients are falling asleep or ignoring the rules when you are abiding them. The worst part, when you receive take home bottles, they will take them away suddenly for concerns the patient was NEVER made aware of (see update), and it's always the staff's word against the patient's word. Even if you can prove that staff was wrong, it doesn't matter; the patient suffers the consequences.UPDATE (Sept '23): Changes to rules & regulations can be done with NO NOTICE to the patient; which can adversely affect the patient. Please be aware that you must abstain from ALL drugs AND alcohol, no matter what you are being treated for. When patients that were not being treated for alcohol abuse, occasionally had a glass of wine, and would only need to go to NBCC twice a month, then would be told at their visit they would not receive take home bottles and would need to come everyday starting immediately; this would make any patient upset, as well as disrupt their daily life. This change had started a few months ago, but yet, patients are still NOT being advised of this change; at this time, assume the issue has still not been addressed by the facility.

Every employee has taught me so much about myself and how to reach out for help. I have been listening to all the complaints about everyone who works there but never hear anything about clients' behaviors. We have to want to put in the work in order to get well. These folks are here to guide us to get us clean/sober. As for the money issues, how is the clinic supposed to run? It's been my experience over the last 11 yrs that the help is here for the asking. We never complained about the craziness the dealers put us through and rudeness??? This is just one RECOVERING addict's opinion though. We're all here for different reasons.

For one they advertised previously that that were Alcohol Abuse Counseling. Then they changed it to a Mental Health Facility. It is, ACTUALLY, a Methadone Clinic, that provides a counselor. Clients are not trusted no matter how long you are clean. I don't think that they believe there is life beyond the clinic. In other words, all addicts are prejudged and your life is controlled by this facility. So if you want help its there just remember they must be your top priority.(whether you wish to progress or not)
