I was once a client of Christine Nett, as a person dealing with mental health I have seen dozens of therapists in my 40+ yrs of life... and Christine is one I still bring up with my current therapist as one of my WORST experiences ever. Never did she offer coping skills or solutions she just basically said "get over it", "just get up and do it" "we all have things to deal with"Christine I honestly can't believe you're still in business. I imagine the only people you're able to help are ones who don't really have any issues.AVOID THIS PLACE

I dont know how but they got my review deleted. Not only are they providing bad service, they are silencing people who have had bad a experience with them. I came in to get a letter of readiness. According to them, that costs $80. She said she had never done that before and really didnt know how to do it. She ended up asking a series of irrelevant questions. I had gave her a paper from my doctors explaining IN DETAIL what she needed to do. She refused to read it. At the end of the session, she realized that she had completely wasted my time with irrelevant questions bc she STILL had no idea how to make the letter. She then sent a confusingly worded email that both sounded like she was refusing to do it, and that she was still super confused about what to do. I cussed her out bc she is a terrible therapist...yes, I obviously have personal issues lol would be nice to speak to a good therapist.. anyway.. She ended up charging me with a psych eval that helps no one, but HER, bc i had to pay her $143 instead of $80. The receptionist is an idiot, and LOUDLY told me what my deadname is and explained to me how signatures work as if i were 2 years old. From beginning to end, my experience with this place was an absolute nightmare. Pardon the cliche, but If i could give negative stars, i would. I would give it a soggy ham sandwich out of a possible steak dinner. I honestly knew this was gonna be a bad time when she said she was an overthinker, those types make up problems and cant do anything simple without finding ways to make it too complicated to accomplish. So, if you have a complicated problem, im sure they would be great at it.

I was shocked to experience at Nett-Work that I would describe as something that made me feel much worse than when I entered therapy. Christine Nett, the therapist, did not appear to listen to the actual situation I presented to her. Rather, she quickly decided to interject her opinions and observations, which I found were not accurate to my situation. I understand that there may be some variance between what a therapist and a patient thinks/feels, but in this case, I presented obvious and clear information that she simply didn't seem to accept, or pay attention to. Based on this, she gave her advice on what I was to do/work on, which was ineffective, probably because her assumptions about the situation were wrong in the first place. I attempted to clarify some of the points she made, and I was met with a dismissive and angry response, as if she was "triggered" that I would question her authority.Ironically, I observed very strong narcissistic behavior from her throughout my sessions. I don't like to say this without some clear thought, but it does appear that Ms. Nett should participate in her own therapy. I definitely do not think that she should be working with people that are in need of mental and emotional guidance.I was able to get some clear and strightforward help from another therapist outside of Nett-Work. It was a dramatic difference in experience. While I understand that therapists have different disciplines and/or personal approaches, I can't think of how someone would genuinely benefit from Ms. Nett's approach or attitude.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Individuals staying in a sober living home in Wisconsin benefit from support and friendship with others in recovery. They're also encouraged to continue rehab through support groups and outpatient treatment. Halfway house residents further benefit from increased responsibility and mutual accountability that helps them practice recovery skills. Their time at a sober living home prepares them to transition back to regular life after treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

The goal of drug rehab in Wisconsin is to address drug addiction as a complex issue that involves physical, mental, and relational aspects. During rehab, treatment focuses on each of these areas and gives you the tools you need to achieve and maintain sobriety.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

If you have mental or physical health issues that prevent you from keeping a perfect schedule, they will refuse to treat you. Good luck if you have ADHD, panic attacks, etc.

Avoid counseling here. There are much better options available. First time seeking any type of counseling/therapy and unfortunately I chose this place. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
