The purpose for my visit here was the food pantry. My visit was a Tuesday. The pantry was open from 3 to 6:00 p.m. I arrived at 3:45 p.m. The pantry is available to anyone. You do not have to be Catholic to visit.Upon arrival the entrance for the food pantry was clearly marked and easy to see from the parking lot. There was ample parking and I found a spot near the door.In the reception area of the staff were friendly. As with most pantries I expected there to be a long wait, however after I checked in it was less than 2 minutes before my name was called.I was giving a grocery cart and the person who called my name partnered with me through the shopping experience. This person will advise you of how many items you can take from every section of the pantry.During the shopping experience I found the facility to be clean and well organized. They had a variety of goods available including meats, dairy, breads, toiletries and even cookies. When I was done shopping they had me sign to confirm I was receiving the goods in my cart. I was able to use the shopping cart to take all of the groceries out to my car. After loading, I took the cart back and left it but the door as I was instructed. The whole process took less than 30 mins and I left with a back seat full of groceries.

I haven't personally been a patient here, but I have had several friends complete the inpatient program for substance abuse, and they all seemed to like it. I know you can still smoke cigarettes, but no cell phones the first few weeks and limited if any contact at all with the outside world. It's coed, so that probably helps people when making a decision for an inpatient facility. Especially when we're talking 30+ days or more, detoxing off any and all things good, lol! The entrance to check in is tricky to find too, it's actually on the back side, or really, it might even be the side of the building under an awning. Hit the buzzer, and someone comes to help you get checked in.

I was at uta Halee in 2021, I got the march 21st and left may 2nd. My experience there was amazing I was in the shelter waiting for a bed at nova treatment community, Mrs Robinson was always there for me when I needed to talk to someone. Mrs collins was always fun to be around, Mrs Philips had a great sense of humor, Mr Harris was absolutely amazing he greeted me with kindness he always made sure I had a smile on my face, when I first got there I slept for 3 days straight and he would peak his head in my room making sure I was okay! Of course I was really shy at first but I made it through my stay. Mrs Jackson and me never got close and Mrs Hawthorne and me always had great conversations she even got to see my comedy personality. Every Wednesday was my favorite day because I got to enjoy the culinary class they had! Sometimes on the weekends they would allow us to use the tv to watch our favorite networks no matter what the movie was it just had to be appropriate. Right was my probation officer dropped me off a fight happened upstairs a girl punched another girl 82 times in just two minutes because they were left with one other staff member, I always had fun there. When you shaved you were supervised to save people from self harm! I did watch a few people runaway and watched someone beat up a deputy. But that told everyone that they needed to be somewhere more intense to straighten themselves up! Overall my stay there was amazing!!!

How Much Does Drug Rehab Cost in Omaha?

Omaha is the 31st most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $62209. This is higher than the average cost of $58777 for addiction treatment in Nebraska and higher than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.

The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Omaha vary widely and depend on several factors, including:

Comparing the Cost of Rehab in Omaha

The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.

These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.

How to Pay for Addiction Treatment in Omaha?

There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Omaha. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Omaha that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Omaha.

Top Insurers for Drug Rehab in Omaha

Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Omaha, with 7 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 7 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 7 drug rehabs.

    Drug Use in Omaha

Omaha has the 80th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Douglas county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Omaha or Douglas county as a whole.

    Drug Related Crime in Omaha

In 2023, Omaha had the 217th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 262 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.

Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Omaha.
