About Monarch Sober Living Homes

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, Monarch Sober Living Homes offers gender-specific sober living homes to individuals in the early stages of recovery. They also offer an LGBTQIA+ home for those who would prefer to live with others who are a part of this community.

Sober living homes allow people an opportunity to live in a safe and secure environment where they will be supported in their recovery. Each home specializes in offering a therapeutic environment that focuses on helping individuals integrate recovery skills and tools into their daily life. A 12 Step approach to treatment is provided. Participating in house meetings, building new healthy habits, and remaining sober are important elements of these programs. Clients must maintain their sobriety and will be tested twice a week for compliance.

Sober living programs are generally not covered by insurance, but clients may be referred to additional services that accept insurance plans such as Humana, Ambetter, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, and more. Because insurance plans vary, be sure to verify coverage information and out of network details with the insurer.

I ve only seen Monarch Sober Living from the outside. My sister started living there over a year ago and I ve literally watched her transform like the Monarch! She embraced the program and has made profound and sustainable changes in her life. This recovery home is exactly what she needed. Cali and Claire work hard and with heart. It is evident in my sister s transformation. All my words fall short of how grateful I am to see her shine again. If you are considering this home for a new lease on life .. do it now. This is your sign. You can find a new way too

I have been a client of Monarch for over a year. My first attempt at sobriety was 10 years ago in a different sober living environment that even though they had required working a sober program and had said they also required and offered accountability and structure, after 6 months, I had determined that all they cared about was money. Since being with Monarch and due to the constant supervised structure. I can proudly say I am 14 months sober and have never felt better. With the requirement of having a sponsor and working the A.A program that you must follow in this environment as well as the accountability and structure that Monarch provides, I would have never been able to reach this. I am now in a management position for Monarch and with what I have learned being here, I look forward to assisting others that are new to sobriety and guiding them on this path that I could not have done without the assistance of Monarch Sober Living.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs offer a wide variety of services and levels of care to align with clients' unique and evolving needs. Outpatient care is best suited for clients who are stable and for those who wish to remain at home while receiving treatment. Clients typically receive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training, including participating in evening, night, and weekend sessions to accommodate clients' schedules. Clients at an increased relapse risk may receive more frequent and intensive treatment.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients entering an inpatient rehab typically require more intensive treatment than those in outpatient care. Clients often start inpatient treatment immediately after completing a detox program. Upon admission, they engage in extensive psychotherapy, receive recovery-focused life skills training, and participate in evidence-based complementary therapies, such as meditation, massage, acupuncture, and/or animal, creative arts, recreational, and experiential therapy.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The process of medically assisted detox usually takes place in an inpatient setting while under the 24/7 care of a team of licensed medical professionals. It's considered the safest way to rid the body of all addictive substances and prepare you for a transition into either an inpatient program or various forms of outpatient rehab. The program length varies depending on your needs, but it typically takes about 5-7 days.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Group therapy in Colorado offers you a platform to share your stories about drug addiction and co occurring mental health conditions. You'll receive encouragement and empathy from peers who understand your journey, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Men and women in Colorado have access to customized individual therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. These sessions explore your life experiences and patterns of substance abuse. Your therapist helps you recognize harmful behaviors and thoughts that empower you to make positive changes for lasting recovery.

Therapists who employ motivational interview techniques seek to draw out the client's ideas about change and allow them to draw their own conclusions about the need for change. This method is often effective for clients who feel unsure about their ability to change or the need for change.

During trauma therapy, you explore the impact that a traumatic event has had on your life. Your therapist can help you develop strategies to manage the emotional and physical symptoms while improving emotional regulation. This improves your overall quality of life.

Your therapist will probably take an integrated approach, using techniques from several methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic couple's therapy. The goal is to work through challenges and strengthen your relationship.

During family therapy sessions, family members in Colorado work with therapists to understand addiction as a disease that has affected the entire family. This approach fosters empathy and reduces blame on any one member. Promoting this collective effort helps to support the recovery process.

Monarch saved my life. I've been trying to get sober for years, I tried multiple detoxes, and plenty of rehabs and nothing stuck. I moved out to CO from FL and ended up homeless, scared, and on my last leg. I felt hopeless. I thought I was going to die in the streets. A peer coach found Monarch for me and They were able to get me a scholarship for the first 3 months of stay which gave me enough time to build a foundation, get a job, a start building a future with hope. Everyone was welcoming and it felt as if they truly cared. I wrote journals, gratitude lists, they had medical dr.sajd mental health professionals come in and I was able to relate and get the recovery I needed. They hold me accountable for my actions, they work with me when I struggle. I can honestly say I am so grateful I found Monarch. It provides the type of living and recovery environment I needed to get my life back. I have no problem weighting this review as it's the least I could for all they have done for me. Thank you for giving me a chance and for becoming part of my family. I don't know how I will ever be able to repay the opportunity, I just want to keep giving my experience, strength, and hope back to those who are struggling. There is hope when there are places like Monarch that welcome you with open arms. By the way the houses are beautiful and super clean wHich is definitely a huge plus!

The first miracle that happened in my life with Monarch was that when I called on the phone, a live person answered. The second miracle was that they did it again.I was looking at possibly having to live out of my car. I was on probation in two different counties. I was not doing my uas at all.Since I came to Monarch, I was able to be taken off of probation in both counties 3 1/2 months early. I reestablished my footing. I m working a program that enforces not only sobriety, but teaches me how to recover. They build stability and strength, compassion, and understanding. For myself, as well as for the people around me.It is very well, balanced, and very progressive in a very positive and healing way.It is 12 step based, and I am often reminded just by paying attention alone of how grateful I am that this is the one that I found when it came to sober living homes. I had never heard of them before, and the structure and the willingness to work with and care for, are second to none.My Director and the owner take turns personally attending our weekly house meeting. They check in with us and make sure that the house has no maintenance needs. And all of our utilities and supplies I replenished every two weeks, as needed.I came here lost. Since I ve been here, I ve learned to find hope again. To find life again.Monarch is very strict and very structured. But it is the most amazing gift and opportunity I have found, with lasting results. Do you have to be ready and you have to be willing to watch the program. Which includes rules. Just like life.Today I have 17 months of continuous sobriety. I am a super grateful girl.

I have been with Monarch for almost 3 years, and it is the most dedicated and caring sober living I have seen. They do not treat their residents as just dollar signs. They want their residents to succeed and do everything in their power to help them do so. The owners are some of the most understanding and dedicated people I have met in the field of recovery.

I lived at monarch for 16 months. This program, saved my life. I would have killed myself or someone else had I not found them. And everyday I was there paved the road for me to be strong enough in my own recovery to move out on my own. In a world of people running recovery homes for profit, they are the exception. They care and they pour into their residents life.I've met some of the best people on my life inside their program and can't express my gratitude enough to them.

Monarch helped me to develop into the person that I am today. The structure of the houses pushed me to actively work a 12 step program and ultimately apply those tools to my everyday life. I came to Monarch the first time before I was serious about getting sober and ultimately left so that I could continue drinking. I later went through a 6 month rehab program and when I finished, I knew Monarch was exactly the type of environment I needed to continue a strong recovery program. The environment is caring, supportive and structured. Just what this alcoholic needs. I will celebrate 3 years sobriety at the end of September and Monarch has been an integral part of that success. Thank you Cali for helping to save my life!

I came to Monarch sober living homes in February of 2021 from a program in Utah. The owner picked me up from the airport and brought me to what would become my home for 7 months to follow. While at Monarch, I found a structured living environment where I felt safe at all times. I was held to the same standard as everyone else and felt that all women were treated with dignity, love and compassion. I was not the easiest client as I struggled with emotions and understanding my place in a new sober world. I was put on a contract because I acted out and wanted to run things my way. That saved my life. I had a choice to continue acting out in old ways which brought me to my bottom or listen to the advice that those with more time had for me. My life turned around because I was held accountable and by the grace of God I will have 3 years in 2 months. What Monarch did for me is something that can never be repaid but I will spend the rest of my days giving back to other women and newcomers to show my gratitude. Thank you Cali and everyone at Monarch for helping me find a better way of life
