Synergy changed my life for the better. I can t say enough good things about the place and the wonderful people that work there. They help you build a foundation for a sober and mentally healthy lifestyle. They focus more on mental health, instead of just sobriety, which is the key to a successful recovery. I learned how to deal with my nearly uncontrollable anxiety and no longer use alcohol as a coping mechanism. I honestly can t say anything negative about my experience at Synergy. From the peaceful setting, to all the activities that help you relax and focus on yourself, to the amazing food and everything in between, my time there was enjoyable and truly life changing. They have built something special at that place and I can t recommend it enough. Don t waste your borrowed time and money at another lower class facility. This is the place for you.

Asking for help is hard, going to rehab is daunting and scary, but Synergy has made the experience as warm, comforting and supportive as you could possibly get. From the moment I walked in - terrified, baffled and at my wit's end; the staff, counselors and fellow clients welcomed me with open, loving arms. They made sure to let me me know that even though I may believe there was no hope for me, that THEY believed, and that if I would just be open and trust the process, I would come to believe it, too.The classes, activities, nutrition, accommodations, personal and group therapies are all designed to show you the value in caring for your whole self; body, mind and spirit. I am so grateful for the gift of these last 30 days. I never would have guessed that I would ever check in to a program like this, but I can truly say my life will never be the same after this experience. I have received love here, acceptance, new perspectives and true hope for my future. There is hope for you, too.

This is a place for grown folk who can handle life on life terms. You stay clean get to work pay your bills and grow as person spiritually and mentally and physically. If you come to just have a roof over your head and not be here to grow up you will not succeed. It's setup as if you were living on your own at an apartment with rules and rent. Simple grown folk stuff. Go to meetings like in normal life and be in for bed. Not hard. If you need help there are people everywhere here that can help you. Wether they have been clean for a month or for a year. Yes there will be some there who are still in the beggining of recovery and need to develope into adults. Addicts aren't perfect. Only Jesus is. So learn the rules. If you don't know them then ask the front desk for a copy. I like it here. Praise Jesus. That's the God that made you. If you don't try at changing or make an attempt to you won't grow and you have to want it. It's your own fault if you don't succeed here. Because you didn't try hard enough they can send you in the right direction but you have to go in that direction instead of your own path.

I could not be happier with my past and present experiences with Synergy. Darla at the front desk is always so kind and welcoming and just a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. And I am biased as she's my therapist, but Kristal McCleary is the absolute best. If you have any hesitations in taking that first step, please read this and know you are in great hands. Take the chance and reach out to get more information if you're looking for a great therapist, you won't regret it. One last thing to note - while I had to get on a wait list initially, Darla was super great at keeping in communication with me to let me know they hadn't forgotten about me, and keep me updated, which was greatly appreciated!

Wonderful clinic with amazing psychologists! Dr. Kohler was a brilliant psychologist and helped me through navigate through the worst time of my life after a traumatic event occurred. I am only sad that he no longer practices. Their waiting rooms are very spacious and have plenty of light which helps ease your anxiety and stress while you wait. They are great at helping you schedule appointments to fit around your work schedule! You can even book appointments out 3 in advance which is quite nice! Each doctor is different in how they set their own schedule for the days/hours in which they work though, so do keep that in mind when you're researching a particular psychologist at their practice that you'd like to make an appointment to see. If you do not have a referral from your PCP (primary care physician) or elsewhere (such as the emergency room, etc) you might be in for a bit of a long wait. It could be 3+ weeks or likely much more to be able to even get scheduled to have just your initial appointment for your evaluation with a psychologist, which from what I remember with Dr. Kohler was significantly more money/a higher copay than the regular therapy visits are. But it is *definitely* well worth every penny!!! I had different insurance with my work the year before I started seeing Dr. Kohler and had to see a therapist at Burrell and I can honestly say that I felt like I walked into a really bad section of Commercial Street after dark... And when I started to have a severe panic attack the therapist at Burrell did nothing to try to get my breathing stabilized or to try to get me back to any kind of a calm state, nor did he even offer me a single tissue and I was hysterically crying... It was completely inhumane... But here it is completely different! They genuinely care and show genuine compassion for their patients. I will never be able to repay Dr. Kohler for how much he has helped me. He was my favorite therapist.

I have been a patient here with Fremont Hills Psychiatry for about 4 years now. The ladies at the front desk are like family, especially Tina! They treat me with such kindness and respect and always go out of their way to help. My prescriptions get handled promptly and on time using the medication voicemail or MyMercy app. My psychiatrist Dr. Sharma is phenomenal. We ve really built a strong foundation for the mental health therapy I need and I m fortunate to have a caring psychiatrist with a great sense of humor that genuinely cares about my well being. This has to be the number one hospital where it's staff, front to back, have the best attitude and greatest bedside manners. I can not grasp why this place only has the amount of stars that it does. I almost want the folks who left bad reviews to go to the other hospitals that I've been to, because I couldn't say anything negative about these folks at Cox Medical.I know that reviews don't necessarily make or break most places/businesses and I understand most folks probably don't even read reviews much, but I needed to take the time to get this out there somehow, some way.I wish I could bring this hospital and staff back home with me so I could share them with all of Texas.I wish the world could experience good folks like these when in need - everywhere.I digress.Just know one thing; I know good people.. This hospital is GOOD PEOPLE.Professional and kind hearted.Thank you.

Terry
In 2012, at the age of 55 I was in a car wreck in which a local small town policeman ran a red light with no lights or siren and collided with my 2003 Mustang, resulting in my vehicle being completely totaled. I am not a street person, I have a bachelors degree in Business/Marketing and a teaching certification. For several years I had been a grocery merchandiser traveling around southwest Missouri calling on Walmart stores to build displays, put up advertising and just do various forms of merchandising within the stores, earning about $13 an hour. I only had liability insurance on my car and the insurance company for this small town refused to pay for my vehicle. Thus I lost my job, I was unemployed, unable to pay my rent and in the meantime I became completely bankrupt. As I had to have a car to do my job and I could not find any work where I could take the bus. I was bankrupt and unable to pay my rent and full of fear as to where I was going to end up.Many well educated, good people find themselves homeless due to misfortune and not necessarily . I had heard of Recovery Chapel, and being in recovery myself, I called Farris Robertson and he explained their program to me. How I could become a resident of RC for about $400 a month, including meals and receive Spiritual Guidance, and group support through group studies and individual counseling with Mr. Robertson and other volunteers that came in to deliver a message of hope. If you have ever found yourself totally helpless, financially destitute and with no idea where to turn, then RC is truly a God send. Many good men and women find themselves homeless, jobless and with no place to go, through no real fault of their own. I was not drinking or using drugs, I just got myself into a hopeless situation I had gone through a double bypass in 2009 so I was already struggling financially. I did have another heart attack in 2012 while living at RC and the staff and my friends helped me tremendously after I had 4 more stints put in my heart. At RC along with the encouragement, housing and food I received I also got some assistance in renting a car so I could again get a merchandising job. As I sit here in my own apartment (self sufficient through Christ) in southeast Springfield, with a nice dependable car in the parking lot, and a great part time job with CROSSMARK merchandising, it is hard to imagine that my life has been restored, or better yet, not just restored but renewed and I live a better quality life than I have since my 30's and I owe it all to God, Recovery Chapel, Farris Robertson, Terry St. Clair and then rest of the staff and the board of directors. Philippians 4:13 paraphrased; "All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me".
