About Tulsa Comprehensive Treatment Center

Mission Treatment Centers is a methadone clinic located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They provide addiction treatment on an outpatient basis.

Addiction-related services provided at this location include outpatient addiction treatment and medication-assisted treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment
This methadone clinic begins treatment with an intake assessment that addresses an individual’s current experiences, past drug use, and medical history. This is followed by a physical exam and drug screening. All results contribute to the personalized recovery plan that is created.

The clinic uses methadone and buprenorphine to treat the physical symptoms of opioid addiction and curb cravings. Counseling helps address the emotional and behavioral aspects of addiction while processing difficult emotions and revealing why opioid use started. Additionally, outpatient counseling sessions help create healthy coping skills and strategies to avoid future opioid use. This program is available to adults aged 18 and older. The facility is open Monday through Friday 5:00 am to 11:00 am.

Do NOT go to this clinic, or any like it! It is a cash cow. They will keep you on methadone for years just so they can make money. Go to the Broken Arrow Diagnostic Clinic, they have a medication called sublicade and you won't be on it for years, plus it's not an Opioid. Places like the Broken Arrow Diagnostic Clinic use it. It also does everything methadone does but 10x better! These Opioid assisted treatment clinics are HORRIBLE. They just get you dependent on another Opioid. Absolutely horrible what these places do to addicts.

I absolutely love the clinic, they have been a true life saver for me. However, the older white lady , she usually works at the 2nd dosing window, she is COMPLETELY rude and totally disrespectful. I don't know if she has an issue with me, but every time I go to the window and she gives me these nasty looks, rarely speaks to me, and is just downright disrespectful. I forgot my box last week, had to run home and get it, and she literally told me if I used my brain I would not have this problem. I made another mistake a few months ago and she literally grilled me and called me stupid because I lost a weekend take-home bottle. Only time I ever done that.I hate to make a complaint about this, I would call up but I do not want to identify myself because I am afraid of being retaliated against as it has happened before. Everyone else in the clinic is ABSOLUTELY amazing and are true blessings! However it is just that one older lady that is completely rude. I really hope something is done about her because I know it is not just me dealing with her antics.Other than her, the clinic is GREAT and I would NOT be here to this day without you guys! <3

Im writing this review for 2 reasons one to help someone else who is pregnant and struggling with addiction and two because I m very thankful to have found Tulsa comprehensive treatment center. I ve been an addict for about 7 years. I started on Percocet and oxy and eventually fentanyl pills and powder. I tried suboxone, kratom, weaning off, and cold turkey withdraw. None of which worked. I found out I was pregnant and attempted withdraw a couple times I got so far along it got too dangerous to continue to even try to get clean on my own. I was one of those people who frowned upon methadone I did not want to trade one substance for another and I knew I could get through the withdrawal but never stayed sober for long. The people at the treatment center are supportive, informative, and non judgemental and everyone there has their own story so they can actually relate and give real advice instead of someone who s never actually experienced addiction. I think the only thing I would change if I could go back is not starting methadone sooner. Everyone has to make the choice that is right for their self but if you are considering a treatment center this is a great choice. If you are someone who is scared or unsure I don t blame you but I promise once you do an intake and start treatment you will not regret it! And if your pregnant and scared this is an option for you and they will answer any questions you may have.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients enrolled in rehab aftercare programs have typically completed weeks or months of intensive treatment, often in inpatient detox and/or rehab centers, and may be receiving outpatient care. Drug rehab aftercare is designed to approach recovery as a life-long process. Clients and their case managers and care teams typically work together to formulate clients' continuing care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program facilitation, among other services.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

To address the issues of addiction, each drug rehab in Oklahoma is tailored to meet the individual's needs. Treatment may occur in a residential or outpatient setting, and may last from a few days to several months.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Absolutely so grateful for Tulsa CTC! I was transferred here from California about 2 and a half years ago. The transfer was very smooth and easy! I absolutely love this treatment center. They remember everyone by name and even know my young son s by name. All of the staff is pleasant and they truly care! They also take suggestions seriously. The bathroom used to not be clean enough and ever since I mentioned that the bathrooms have been exceptionally cleaner and more well stocked. I have never felt judged by anyone at this clinic (there was one woman who worked there named coco and she made me extremely uncomfortable but thank god she quit). I feel safe at this establishment as well. Want to give a big huge shout out to my counselor Alicia for always being there for me and believing in me and encouraging me to sign up for school. (Which I did and I m attending) big huge shout out to Bree & Sherry and Cheryl! I m so blessed to have you all as a part of my recovery.

I recently just left the program after 3 - 3 1/2 years. It took me awhile to get it but I finally did. My counselor was a lot of the help. She listened to me didn't judge me and truly changed my life. Sometimes there were hella long lines to get methadone but I used to think I used to sit around for hours and hours waiting to get H so waiting around for 30 minutes or an hour to get my methadone really isn't that big of a deal but that was few and far between. The nurses did an excellent job and were very friendly and helpful. For me personally it just took time. I had to stop wanting the drug life had to stop and join the drug life and I had to want to make a change. Thank you

I was really scared to get help, or to even admit I needed help. When I went everyone was very helpful, understanding of my fear and concerns. They have gotten better since being under new management. While making the switch there can be times when confusion happens, but I've never had a bad experience with any of the counselors, or even the other patients there. They take your treatment seriously, so you have to take it just as serious as they do or you will not get better. Jennifer the intake counselor, THE BEST!! If your reading this then you are probably looking to get healthy again, go here!! Get clean! Get healthy!! They help you stay sober too!! Most importantly!! Get sober! They really do care!!!!

For all the hard work each individual does there (& there are some you can tell are really trying), they NEVER have their act together. Something always goes wrong & there's always some kind of issue every week; the computers stop working, staffing shortage, changing protocol, always something that ends up providing a new definition to the word SLOW. They keep taking on more and more new patients every week but never hire any more staff or expand the operating capacity of the facility (only have 2 windows, 1 is often closed) which makes the problem worse and worse every passing week. After waiting 5 hours yesterday just for them to properly send a fax, I will be submitting a formal complaint to the ODMHSAS later today, which is the agency that licenses them and will hopefully help them get their act together. If you need treatment in the Tulsa area go to Rightway first. In my opinion they actually run that place like a business over there, where as this location seems to be run more like a doctor's hobby.
