Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient Rehab
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs support long-term recovery through personal growth. Participants are expected to regularly attend 12 step meetings, which are free, anonymous, and accessible 365 days per year in most communities. They are also mentored by self-selected sponsors who help guide them through the steps of recovery, which are rooted in spiritual principles and designed to foster self-awareness, forgiveness, accountability, and acceptance. Religious affiliation is not required and specialized formats, including age and gender specific meetings, are available.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A drug intervention in Minnesota is a planned effort to persuade an individual to quit using drugs or to enter a treatment program. The intervention may be led by a specialist provided by rehab intervention services. This interventionist should have training in addiction treatment and experience in the mental health profession. Their expertise can prove invaluable in leading the intervention discussion and guiding the family in appropriate next steps.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) can provide supportive and structured care to those who don't require 24/7 supervision. It can be used as a "step-down" option after you're released from the hospital or a residential program. PHP treatment integrates evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). The duration of a partial hospital program is tailored to meet your specific needs and goals but averages 90 days.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
When individuals first enter rehab, they may be malnourished due to substance use. They may also suffer from illness, organ damage, or other medical issues. 24-hour clinical care in Minnesota provides on-call staff who can monitor these conditions and provide appropriate treatment 24/7. This setting helps individuals who need substance use disorder treatment get the physical as well as psychological support they need.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug addiction is defined as an inability to stop using drugs even though it causes negative consequences in your life. Drug rehab in Minnesota provides treatment for drug addiction in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

For a successful recovery, life skills training is key. While this place isn t perfect, some of the 1-star reviews do raise valid points. It appears that some reviewers might have been friends or family of individuals associated with the facility. Initially, I hesitated to come here due to these reviews. However, truth be told, I arrived at this facility feeling completely broken, and the staff supported me through it with an unparalleled level of love and care.Recovery and treatment are incredibly challenging, and I often voiced my concerns to my family during my time here. Despite the difficulties, the staff remained steadfast in their support. I completed the short-term program six months ago, and I continue to reflect on and appreciate the dedication of the staff daily.Since leaving the program, friends from my gym who knew me before my addiction have commented on my newfound joy and positivity, which I attribute to the transformative impact of this program.

This facility is nothing but a body filling insurance scam. Absolutely nothing was explained to my loved one who went in on their own and asked for help. Not one person knew what they were doing. The counselors, if that s what you want to call them, would spend more time on their phones in class than actually spend the time to help. Medication to prevent seizures from withdrawal were not provided as prescribed by their own doctor. When asked for help by my loved one when they were having a bad day they were told leave if you want . My loved one felt no one was listening or helping. Upon arrival staff didn t know where blankets, pillows, or sheets were. I can t believe that this place with the history they have and the hype that is given continues to treat people who are asking for help like this

I loved the program and basically every staff that s cleint facing. Unfortunately I just called back after struggling for a couple weeks. And the front desk woman (Kelly) surprisingly rude and made it very hard for me with reaching back out to you guys for help.

Very disappointed in The Rochester Mn adult and teen challenge. There are some good people working there that really care. Unfortunately, the quality of the program was severely lacking. Zero communication not even an explanation on visiting hours. Families are left to figure it out on their own. Addiction effects the family too, not just the addict. There is no family support offered. My son left after 20 days and he wanted help. Addicts need rules and structure however when you mix people who want help with people who are there as an alternative to jail nobody wins except Teen challenge who is getting paid. My son went to another facility and is thriving. I expected more from a facility that claims to be faith based. It was far from it. I would strongly encourage anyone wanting to get help to steer clear of Mn adult and teen challenge in Rochester.

Despite the shady stuff I have seen here. God still moves and the Gospel is taught. Many men I know are still sober and went through Rochester Teen Challenege. They chose to follow Christ and live a life of sobriety.

Do not bring your loved ones here if you care for them. This place is an abusive scam under the disguise of spiritual healing. First off, it s nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone via phone. It is unclear who the staff is and whether they are properly certified. Trying to call about your concerns will result with staff rudely hanging up. My loved one has endured multiple med errors- one resulting in an overdose at the treatment facility! I have worked in the medical field and there is absolutely no justification for several instances of med errors. My loved one calls crying about rude and abusive comments the counselors have made. It is disgusting that a place like this uses spirituality to abuse people who need the most help. Please don t send your loved ones here.
