Metamorphosis literally saved my life.I was court ordered to be at meta through drug court. The rules and 'tattling' is very contradictory to what addicts are used to. The purpose is to learn to hold other accountable for their actions. AA and NA did nothing for me. Bridgehouse did nothing for me. Meta was the only place to recognize what was causing me to use and address that.I graduated in 2012. I am still clean. Almost 9 years now.Recovery is different for everyone but hold on to the 'keeping secrets' and 'not snitching' behaviors of my using life wouldn't have helped me get this far.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Couldn t agree more with the previous reviewer. The conflict oriented program of rewarding childish tattletaling of other patient s rule infractions (People, we are talking about smuggling a jolly rancher candy or wearing a smattering of makeup!!) destroyed any comradery that might have been built between common sufferers of alcoholism/addition. It was a horrendous experience that promoted anxiety, distrust, and paranoia in broken people desperately seeking acceptance and fellowship in sobriety. What a shame.

I didn t like the process when I first arrived. Holding each other accountable seemed a lot more like snitching or tattling than anything helpful. I felt like many things seemed conflict inducing at first for sure. I soon realized I was being provided a structure to implement better decision making during my time there and with that acquiring tools to take with me after leaving treatment. There s nothing crazy about anything there in my opinion. The rules are the rules and there are consequences if you break them. They provide everything you need and then some. The staff is wonderful and really care about everyone there whether it s voluntary or court ordered (majority were voluntary when I left a month ago). I needed to stay longer but had to leave due to circumstances at home that had to be addressed. I ve been to treatment many times and I feel Meta has given me the very best chance to stay clean.I am a tough critic especially towards things that are stopping me from doing what I want. Meta is different for everyone but personally it s the first place I would recommend to anyone.

I believe I am one of only a handful of Metamorphosis clients that voluntarily admitted themselves into the facility for treatment. I am a Alachua County resident... I had no health insurance, no criminal record. I was desperately seeking help for my alcoholism. The majority of patients are admitted into META through drug court, jail or a prison order and are addicts. META refers to it self as a Therapeutic Community (TC), with a family like atmosphere supportive to positive change. In my experience, there was minimal emphasis on positivity and a whole lot on negativity. Their therapeutic structure was to provoke conflict, chaos, jabbing and distrust within the house. I believe that their philosophy was to create a negative environment with in the house in order to teach their clients the tools needed to survive on the outside, drug-free, during hardship and conflict.Every day I spent at META felt like I was being punished for being born an alcoholic! Unfortunately... many of the souls that pass through META have been badly scarred, abused and have been subject to unimaginable hardships during their life's journey... Hope and the desire for life has been beaten out of them. I believe...what they need most, is positive reinforcement. A purpose, love and harmony. By the way, Metamorphosis track record is not good...I lasted 90 days...I am 2 years sober, thanks to my AA sisters.
