outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

While many people know it as "day treatment", a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers treatment during the day and allows you to live at home. PHP treatment typically requires a commitment of at least 20 hours of treatment every week, with a program duration that spans approximately 90 days. While commuting is necessary, some programs offer telehealth options. PHP treatment plans usually include relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy.

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

During motivational interviewing, therapists express empathy, support self efficacy, and develop discrepancies. By using these techniques, therapists help clients reflect on their desires for change and understand why and how they should move forward with those changes.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

They have 2 wonderful therapists but the director and psychiatrist ruin any chance of continuing to receive good help.

Wonderful experience, wonderful facility and wonderful faculty. I treated with Dr.Till about my high anxiety during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Not only did he give me all the tools that I needed to fix my own anxieties, but he also was kind, charismatic, and had a great sense of humor. People & programs like these are needed to impact the community in a positive way, and this facility definitely help me through a very difficult and stressful time in my life and the world. I will forever be grateful for that. I would definitely recommend this place to coworkers and friends. (Five Star Service )Forever in solidarityRobert Wade

I have had a WONDERFUL experience. My therapist is warm and makes me feel safe to share, but is also honest and doesn't let me get away with non-sense thoughts. The staff when starting this process was helpful and I find the telehealth portal easy to navigate. I certainly recommend

Yet another case of "I should've listened to the reviews." Dr. Till answered texts and a call while I was trying to talk to him, divulged details about another client, and, when I asked what made him qualified to speak in his role, his response was "my credentials speak for themselves." Save yourself the trouble.

Honestly, quite shocked at the negative reviews. I've never had a problem with anything - scheduling, billing, etc. and my therapist is definitely the right fit for me. I hope other folks find the help they need elsewhere.

Charged me for 60 minute sessions when was only having 30. Avoid Dr Till at all costs if you want actual therapy instead of being lectured without a chance of saying anything. It is as ridiculous as it sounds.

If you need help this is not the place. They do not have the patients best interest.

Pretty much the same experience as everyone else. Therapist would text me randomly and say I missed appointments after not scheduling them in the first place. He also shared private information about another client trying to relate to my situation. Lol. Not a great place to go for mental health. Not even a place to go to shoot the breeze with someone, if you re stressed. I m going to protest but I doubt I ll get anywhere with that either without having to open a case with collections because they re not getting my money and I m not letting it affect my credit score. This location is what happens when people who are angry at life get a major in psychology and don t care about their career. I d love to see what the owner looks and acts like

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The therapist lied and said I missed 3 appointments, when I accidentally missed one. I call to reschedule and find out they cancelled my psychiatrist appointment as well. I called several times and all the phone calls go to an answering service. I would not trust this place with my mental health.

I've received nothing but friendly and compassionate care from Meridian Psychological. Dr. DeVries and Dr. Pernell are assets to the community! Highly recommended!

Disorganized front office, poor quality therapy, run down office space, and unclear billing/fees. In short - do not go here! I am still upset with my experience at this facility which, for the short amount of time I visited this office, cost me nearly $500. I cannot recommend seeking alternative counseling services enough. The Google Reviews are a clear indicator of what you're getting here.
