About MedMark Treatment Centers Fort Worth

MedMark Treatment Center has a clinic in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s a place to get medication assisted treatment if you’re battling an opioid addiction. This means they use medicines like methadone and buprenorphine to reduce your withdrawal symptoms when you’re first getting sober. You can also use them to ease your cravings later in your recovery. For many folks with opioid addiction, this can be a big part of their success in staying sober.

But that isn’t all that this outpatient center has to offer. To help you stay sober long term they offer counseling services along with the medication. Their individualized counseling can help you work through the issues that impact your addiction. That way, you’ll learn how to be your best sober self. They also offer group counseling where you can develop more life skills and have the support of other people in recovery.

One thing that stood out to me about this treatment center is the extra support services they offer. They know that a stable footing in life will help you maintain your sobriety. They’ll help with case management and connect you to community resources like job assistance and housing resources. They can also help with discharge planning and more. In this way they’ll set you up for success in your new sober life with a healthy foundation.

Recently transferred to a different clinic, and the differences are startling. Medmark is very unprofessional at the least. The staff treats the patients very disrespectfully, it is not unusual to hear staff yelling at a patient. It is very obvious that Medmark is most interested in the bottom line, money. Double check your insurance for extra or unessacary billing.Do yourself a favor and go to a different clinic. Medmark will tell you that NTACE does not have a grant for indigent and uninsured, but They do have the grant and never turns anyone away.Medmark is in the business of billing insurance and bullying their patients. They offer no information or assistance for resources. They are interested in the patients teaching their intern counselors not the patients being helped in any way.Again after looking at another clinic it is obvious Medmark is the worst of the worst. They prey on those seeking help to save their lives. There are so many gross examples of predatory and vicious treatment of those in desperate need.

I thought I'd give an update, I have 38 days clean today and God willing I'll make it another day. I have been going to medmark for years and always had dirty ua's until I got my counselor Ac Delhoyas on my side. With his guidance and God behind me and in my heart and soul I'm proud to say I'm clean today, and today is what matters, I can't change the past. I'm living day by day at the moment but at least I'm doing it sober. God bless. Thanks to the medmark team.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Clinic just hired an awesome new director who is serious about her patients. Also a new nurse who is really sweet and nice. Counselors are serious if you are serious about your recovery. This is about life and death and I hope you choose life.

Absolutely worst 2 years of my life. I go to school and church and work and live nearly an hour away and that Dr. Arci took my takehomes more times than I can count for minute problems. They do nothing to help you keep takehomes and will take them away any chance they can. I ve been on methadone for 3 and a half years and yesterday Dr. Arci told me 6 months until I could get any takehomes again because I went to the hospital for a dose when my luggage with methadone was lost at the airport. Their charge nurse told me word for word you will not lose your takehomes for going to the ER in withdrawals. And it s not just me that had problems. Staff turnover is insane. They were so understaffed I went without a counselor for 5 months and I had to ask that I be assigned a counselor. In my 2 years they had 4 clinic directors and I had 5 or 6 counselors with months in between each.

On my intake the older nurse lady handled my urine sample without gloves then Drew my blood after touching the vial of urine and was feeling for a vein on my arm after touching my bottle of urine still with no gloves she had a small but somewhat long needle when she was drawing my blood and let go of the needle after she filled the first vial while it was in my arm in a vain I seen the needle bend up and was putting pressure against my skin she grabbed another vial pushed the needle back down and continue to draw blood while my arm was burning and I was making a face when she retracted the needle she did not apply the necessary pressure for a moment and a little bit of blood got on my arm while she was still not wearing gloves and then she applied the pressure on my arm and the whole time I did not see her use any type of sanitizer she is not friendly when I was finally fixing to dose the older nurse lady complained about every single person who showed up after 11:00 I'm guessing because she likes to go home early I do not know that's what it seems like but I was informed that they do not stop dosing until 11:30 I get off of work and have to pick up my kids in the morning and probably can't make it to the clinic until around 11:00 every day so I'm anxious to see how that goes because I was told by some people that they like to close early sometimes and that will suck because I'm really trying to get clean and stay clean
