About MedMark Treatment Centers Fairfield

MedMark Treatment Centers -- Fairfield is a private opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment facility in Fairfield, California, east of Alan Witt Park. MedMark specializes in delivering flexible outpatient treatment to accommodate the needs of clients. They serve adults.

MedMark recognizes that no two cases of addiction are the same. They strive to provide individualized, targeted care to meet clients where they are in their recovery journey. Services they offer include:

Outpatient treatment (also known as day treatment) is when a client visits the facility on a regular schedule to receive treatment. Clients continue to live at home during these programs, so outpatient treatment is typically recommended for clients with mild symptoms. Scheduling in these programs is flexible to accommodate busy schedules.

The core of treatment is individual, family, and group counseling. Such counseling introduces clients to the nature of addiction, teaches them coping and relapse prevention strategies, and allows them to support their peers. Family counseling teaches relatives how they can best help a client in recovery.

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) sees the use of FDA-approved medication to reduce symptoms and cravings so clients can better focus on their recovery. MedMark uses Methadone and Buprenorphine for MAT. MAT is used in conjunction with counseling.

MedMark Treatment Centers accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare, VA benefits, and state Medicaid. In-network and out-of-network benefits may vary, so clients are encouraged to confirm coverage before enrolling in a treatment plan.

*NOT MY REAL NAME*The worst part about this clinic is that they do not treat clients with dignity or compassion, never mind respect. I've been a perfect client there for years, and it's getting worse. Indeed, it feels as if they enjoy ordering people around, never allowing for legitimate concerns to be addressed in a manner that doesn't feel punitive.Even after a meeting with the new director where she asked me what they could do better. I told her. She nodded sympathetically & we discussed the issue. I thought that meant we were on the same page.NOPEAs soon as the meeting was over, I was "punished". More like humiliated. I'm still in tears. They set my sobriety back 20 years. It is the single worst thing that could have happened, AND THEY KNEW IT & DID NOT CARE. All they cared about was policy & procedure. I feel like I need to get high just to face them again.Go to a different Medmark

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
When an individual is in denial about their substance use disorder, their loved ones may organize a drug intervention in California. This effort involves gently but assertively confronting the individual about their substance use and sharing how it has affected those who care about them. A professional interventionist may also attend this gathering. Their expertise with intervention services can prove helpful in guiding the conversation to a positive result.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

While in rehab treatment, you may work on developing various life skills to help you in long term recovery. These may include resilience, interpersonal skills, and self awareness. The focus will be on developing healthy habits for self care and relationships so you have the skills you need to manage day to day life.

First off, I don t believe for one second, any of the positive reviews. I gaurantee those are set up!!! Theirs just no way anyone would give a positive review to this place.I go to this place and I talk to everyone I see around me while we wait around 2 hours (usually) to dose. Not one person has anything good to say about this place. The director needs to be fired! She does just about nothing to look for reliable dosing nurses. They have two dosing rooms, but only have one nurse! Instead making everyone wait outside for sometimes 3 hours, to dose! It s super hot in the summer and it rains in the winter and we still have to wait outside! No shade provided at all!The nurse is very rude! So are the others who work here. The only reliable person is the old lady with purple hair!I ve been to many different clinics over the years, this is by far the worst one I ve ever seen, and I ve dosed out of state too!All these workers need to be fired and new staff needs to take over. And someone needs to check up with these positive reviews on here. Because I can honestly tell you, no one from this clinic would give a positive review. Every single person I ve talked to has a bad experience and cannot stand how long it takes to dose, how it s been happening for far to long and no one is doing anything to fix things. That they can t even get to work on time and have even lost opportunities for jobs because of it.Oh, and just last week, they severely overdosed a patient, almost killed her, they were hospitalized and given the necessary treatments to reverse the effects of the methadone. Last I heard was they were getting an attorney and the Mayor was looking into things. Catherine Moy. Hod bless her! That poor lady Amost died! This clinic needs to be sued for negligence!!!It s time for a new team! Please get it together Med Mark! You are playing games with peoples lives! People who pay you a lot of money! You receive thousands of dollars from patients, even patients on Medi cal. your company makes millions off of us patients!Show some respect to the people paying your salary! We have a severe homeless problem, these people are almost always hooked on drugs and a methadone clinic is supposed to help people get off drugs, get off the streets and get your life in order! Instead, you treat people bad and make people wait hours in line, you make people show up to appointments or callbacks(they randomly call you back into the office when you have take home doses, so they can look at your bottles, if you don t show, you lose your takehomes) and you waste their time! Some people don t have transportation. You make people rather stay on the streets and do drugs that are easy to get, rather than to get help because places like a methadone clinic should be set up to help people, not push them away! You guys should be treating everyone extremely good, knowing what you are putting everyone through, only because you know we have to have our meds, or we are sick, so you act like you can be any way you want to and we still can t do anything, that you ll just take our take homes away or kick us off the program!!It s beyond sad, the help that should be provided, that s not. I feel so bad for the elderly, disabled people. It s horrible! And these people have the nerve to post up fake reviews!!!Someone please look into these fake reviews!! Or go to the clinic and talk to the patients, you ll see those positive reviews are all lies!!!!

This place is horrible just needs to get sued there a nurse with blonde hair and glasses she's rude she goes to the long terrible line and ease drops on patients conversations if its bad she informs a short lady with blonde hair to talk to patients she's a disgrace she gives a sacarcstic voice and grin face calms patients down and threatens them by saying they'll discontinue their methadone if they don't get their act together both these nurses the sacarcstic nurse blames people for coming late to dose or close to closing time they force people to apologize and give dirty looks it's disgusting how they threatened to kick people out for comments or little things messing with their sobriety or life just for respect the nurse with glasses and blonde hair and Short blonde hair supervisor should get fired they are no good imature kids they have no respect or love for patients why work their if patients irritate you

I have been going to the clinic for 2 years now and i must say the place is slowly going down hill. The turn over for the dispensary Dept is crazy, it's pathetic and creates more stress for the recovering patients. The current dispensing nurse has poor common curtesy skills, in fact, she has been observed on several occasions raising her voice towards patients, sneaking take homes to patients without lock boxes, and holding up the line to have personal conversations. On top of that, there has been a recent rumor that she has some racist tendencies (I'M NOT SAYING THAT SHE IS A RACIST) but i am saying that she does things for some & not others, which is very bad for business and causes people to feel inferior to others! Other than the dispensary department, the front desk staff, has greatly improved and is more consistent nowadays. The ladies have been trying very hard to keep the peace when patients complain about the dispensary nurse. they do a good job with scheduling and being flexible to accommodate patients, and most importantly, they do not throw their weight around when they are having a bad day. As for the counselors, WOW! They are helpful of your actively part in your sessions. I have not been hearing any negative feedback as often as once before. Occasionally, i have heard that the frequency of sessions is not consistent and the counselors have too many patients on their caseload. Last, but not least, the doctor. The current doctor is actually knowledgeable and able to make a difference in each patients treatment and recovery. She listens, coordinates care, and provides support for each patient. I would recommend this place for people seeking help.
