outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

Inpatient rehab enables clients to focus exclusively on their recovery while living in a highly structured and supportive environment. Inpatient treatment is typically designed for clients who have just completed detox, are in early recovery, and/or are at an elevated risk of relapse. Their treatment generally involves intensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family counseling. Many inpatient rehabs also offer recovery-focused life skills training and/or holistic therapies, such as yoga, massage, and meditation.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs provide accessible peer coaching for participants at all stages of their recovery journey. Meetings are peer-led, anonymous, free, and available multiple times per day in most communities. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring by a self-selected sponsor. 12 step recovery is based on spiritual principles, which enable participants to understand their disease, accept responsibility for their choices, and relinquish control over that which is unchangeable. Religious affiliation isn't required and specialized formats are available.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

If you think a loved one needs help with substance abuse, but they are not seeking treatment, it may be time for a drug intervention in Maryland. Intervention services can help you with this effort. During the intervention, loved ones share how their addiction-related behavior has affected them and encourage the individual to get treatment. The intervention specialist helps facilitate the conversation and explain how treatment can help.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Maryland emphasizes your current life rather than what has happened in the past. Your therapist will help you develop methods to deal with current and future challenges so you can cope in healthy ways that don't involve substances.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

During dialectical behavior therapy sessions, you'll review the challenges you faced the previous week and the feelings you experienced during those times. You and your therapist will engage in problem solving, discussing how you can handle those situations in the future for a better outcome. This involves keeping a diary throughout the week to track your emotions.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Four key principles guide motivational interviewing. These are empathy, self efficacy, rolling with resistance, and developing discrepancy. These techniques allow the client to examine their motivations for change, identify discrepancies in their current situation and future goals, and feel empowered to make changes to reach their goals.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

The focus of trauma therapy is to heal the emotional wounds that occurred when you witnessed or experienced a traumatic event. Therapy helps you process this trauma emotionally and mentally so you develop healthier coping skills and improve your quality of life.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

When you participate in couples therapy, you learn how to understand each other better, improve your communication skills, resolve conflict, and improve relationship satisfaction. Your therapist will help you develop skills in each of these areas to strengthen your relationship.

family iconFamily Therapy

Families in Maryland address the impact of addiction during family therapy. Your therapist fosters open communication between family members to help resolve conflicts and create a supportive environment. By improving relationships, you aid the recovery of the individual struggling with addiction.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills may be as simple as preparing a meal or as complex as interpersonal communication. They cover a broad range, encompassing the core skills you'll need for a successful long term recovery. Rehab in Maryland focuses on helping you develop or re learn these skills so you can live a healthy, independent life in recovery.

Well, I have been going for at least 2 years, I stay clean otherwise, not that that matters, but I was away for a week and guest dosed and came back for a re-enter, but did not dose for a couple days for the road trip. I went to the lab tech Dinka (Or however it s spelled) and brought the UA cup back once, she says not enough, then more, she says not enough, AGAIN and she says not enough (mind u for the Dr they only need one drop) I have done this SO many times. I KNOW WHATS ENOUGH!!!!! Otherwise most of the staff is great! Mrs Manners! Mrs veradeen, Rebecca, Mrs Val, Lester, the new cute young dude up front (lol) the drs, etc .it s mostly fast and they seem to care. It s very clean and most staff treat you like human beings. But she treated me like I was a pice of white trash fr!!! I told her if I was not strong I would go do fentanyl and probably hurt myself and that I would have to go buy a bottle and she just smacked her teeth at me, then I told my counselor I was doing so and she just says ok ugh. It was a terrible experience while I was feeling very ill at the time. I worst clinic experience EVER!

If you do the right thing like they ask it's all gravy.. Been here for years and only go once a month. My councilor is very persistent and easy to talk to. You can tell she honestly cares about her clients and always has some good advice. She will go out of her way to try to help. Kristen is the best and I love talking to her when I'm there.

This location is very understanding and caring for each individual person. If you are honest and make a mistake, you just tell the truth that is my advice, but this place has some really great people that I met over the past few years that I ve been coming in and I will continue to follow my treatment plan to the best of my ability and work with these amazing people

Not a patient but from what I ve heard this place is great, they treat their patients with respect and kindness rather than like trash as a lot of people in this world do. The patient I know had a counselor named Ms Val who I always heard pleasant things about, thanks to her he s doing a lot better and getting closer and closer to recovery. Thank you guys for making him feel welcome.
