Wish it was made mandatory to go down a certain mg every two weeks until your completely finished and off. Present a treatment plan on day 1 with a completion date and contract. So the patients know what and when to expect to be completed by. Exempt for the few people truly getting it for pain treatment. It's sad people spend years going to treatment places and not even progress any. Enforce it. Make them get off of it because they aren't strong enough or willing to do it themselves. It may not work for everyone but it would on most of them making it worth it. At some point people need to decide when to grow up and put it in the past.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step recovery programs focus on personal growth to address the emotional and psychological factors contributing to their addiction. 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual development, but religious affiliation isn't required. Regular group meetings and individualized support with the help of self-selected sponsors promote participants' sobriety as they work through the 12 steps, gaining insight into their addiction, taking responsibility for their life choices, and releasing control over that which is uncontrollable.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Clinical Services

People in Georgia find that group therapy offers a place to share responsibility for each other's recovery. This helps foster a collective commitment to sobriety, which increases your potential for success and creates a network of mutual support that often follows into personal friendships.

Men and women in Georgia may experience Motivational Interviewing techniques while undergoing individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. This approach helps you explore how you feel about drug use and it strengthens your commitment to maintaining treatment. It is particularly useful in the early stages of recovery.

While cognitive behavioral therapy in Georgia is unique for each person, this therapy follows a standard structure that has proven effective. Clients first learn about their substance use disorder, then learn and practice techniques such as coping, stress management, and resilience to change their thought and behavior patterns.

During rehab in Georgia, you may engage in motivational interviewing. This typically lasts one to two sessions and is designed to address any ambivalence you have toward change. It helps you explore your current situation and motivations and commit to making changes for the future.

Medicine Wheel Clinic is great across all fronts. Not only is the entire staff extremely kind but as a fun fact, it's a multi-generational small business owned by women. The care provided at Medicine Wheel is always in the best interest of the individuals served and it's great to know that the overall goal is to afford treatment to as many people who suffer from substance use disorders the care that's deserved. I feel privileged to know the individuals at The Medicine Wheel Clinic and encourage those looking for help to call or go by the clinic. They are non-judgmental people who understand the complexity of this disease.

Thus place is a complete and utter joke!! The owner has no interest in helping patients...she justs wants their money. The best counselors get fired. If a patient decides to transfer to another clinic, the owner will lie and say anything to make sure that patient is too scared to get better treatment. If you're going to Medicine Wheel right now & feel stuck, I PROMISE you that you have the right to transfer to another clinic!! There's another clinic in Winder that is taking patients & this clinic CARES ABOUT YOU...NOT ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY YOU BRING IN!!

My husband and I have been going to this clinic for years, the owner Ms.Jenny and her daughter Andrea are very sweet, caring and helpful ladies! They really do care about you as a person not as a customer!! When we first started going we were in a financial bind and she has helped us out with hardship programs and everything. Yes they charge an intake fee but most places do and they Usually work out a payment method on your account if your need time to pay the fee for intake! Also they don t charge monthly USD fees like other places do either. They just are very understanding and caring here, they treat you like people not judgement or feel like your an addict! They are respectful and friendly the nurses, doctors and counselors are very friendly and helpful also! There has to be hundreds of patients that go here but the owner, Ms Jenny has known our first names from day one! This place has been a blessing to my husband and I and our family and it saved our life when we were going down a dark path! I m thankful we found the medicine wheel and the staff and I encourage you to visit and check them out for yourself if you are in the same position, don t be ashamed or embarrassed or worried about meeting these people and admitting your struggle with addiction as they understand what your doing thru and the true struggles of addiction! Take the first step and get your life back! I did and it s the best thing we could have done as I would hate to even think of where we would have ended up if not for the help of the clinic!

Let me start by saying that I have been going to this clinic for years. I just recently transferred to a newer, cleaner, nicer, just overall more caring clinic. There has been rumors for awhile now that medicine wheel is watering down their medication. Boy let me tell you, they have to be! I have been on the same dose for years and I can tell a difference in strength between the medication I was taking there and the medication at my new clinic. Now that I am going to a clinic that does things properly, I'm never going back!

I loved this place when i first started until well until a few things started to happen.my biggest problem was i had prepaid for a visit and wasn't able to go on the day i had pre-paid for so i go in thinking i would be able to use the $13 from the day before when I wasn't able to go but got to the counter and was informed that even though I paid for a day and because I didn't show up they keep that money for paperwork they say but here's my thing when you don't go they don't charge you $13 for paperwork and the paperwork they're referring to is just writing no show on your paper that day so I started looking around at other clinics and the area this clinic is the only one who charges an intake fee they are also the only ones who charged an early dosing fee and a late dosing fee they also start the peak and trough at 80 mg instead of 120 like all the other clinics around here do so that that way they can get 20 extra dollars from 80 to 90 from 90 to 100 from 100 to 110 + from 110 to 120 plus they charge 13 to dose most other places is only 12...this place only cares about making money and not truly about the patients...Plus not only that they had let a friend of mine charge $40 on my credit card without my permission
