The Washburne house is hands down the best DETOX/CSS In the State. I ve been to probably all of them and I ve never had a better experience. I went in October 2024 broken, lost my spouse of 20 yrs my business, my truck, and my apartment. I was negative about my future and ready to not even try. When I left I went to the facility I wanted to go, I was positive, and for the first time of many times trying in the past Im really serious and ready to stay sober. I can t say enough or express how much the BHTS CASEWORKER/CLINICIANS MDS/NURSING, and the kitchen and House Kitchen staff have made an impact on my stay. I would and will recommend anyone who wants to get there life together and seriously change the Washburn house is a place that will make you feel welcome and give you all the tools and support to continue and get you where you need to go on your journey to sobriety. All around GREAT staff! First time going into detox, I was very stressed and scared! From the time I called admissions to when they returned my call and set up a pick up time, everything went so smooth. As for admissions, it was a little long but once I got up to my room, I was treated very kindly. They definitely made sure I was comfortable and gave me enough time to feel better before getting into group activities. Once I started going to groups, my counselor Timmy was the best part of my recovery. I even told him while I was there that his kind words and how he conducted groups just helped me and made me see a different way of life. He believed in me when I didn t believe in myself and gave me the daily kick in the butt even when I wasn t in the mood or too tired for groups! Your help and dedication will always mean so much to me!! Today marks my two months of being sober and I have to thank the whole Adcare team for being a part of my journey, I am now doing Great, life is better and also got a promotion at work. I spent eight weeks at Blue Hills Recovery (Residential PHP) My experience was very very good. I can say that after reflecting on the person who was admitted and the person who finished and the difference it made. I mean as far as the way I felt and my ability to have a daily program, to talk about things going on my life much easier , having a little more discipline, and definitely more confidence in myself. I owe much of this to the therapeutic and community oriented program at Blue Hills. Since I started going here about 4 years ago I got a great therapist named Justin Mertz. We hit it off on day one and had a great professional relationship up to his untimely death. I was assigned a new therapist named Lindsay Fox. Her and I hit it off great. Lindsay and I are working hard on my care just like I had with Justin. We do a 50/50 conversation. Also I had very good interactions with the Nurse Practitioners at New Beginnings. They all are great and good resources for psychiatric medications. Thank you all at New Beginnings. Spectrum Health Services' PAVE Program, an IPAEP/CBP for domestic violence abusers, is a phenomenal program that helps domestic violence abusers on how to cope and better manage with various techniques on how to deal with anger management issues, violent tendencies and how to have & build better relationships with their partners/victims and all those affected by domestic violence.
