I don t even know where to begin- I love this place. Before I went to RCI, I felt hopeless. I was constantly in and out of programs and sobriety for a six month period. I felt like nothing could help me. I kept leaving places against medical advice. On my way there, I was nervous. I was worried this would be just another short stint then a relapse. However, this was not the case.I stayed at the lodge and I suggest everybody do it too! Charlie, the manager, is a great guy serious about sobriety. He really cares. Also the cabinets and multiple fridges stay filled. You will never go hungry. The accommodations were very comfortable.Back to the PHP- this is probably the highest quality program I have ever been to. The clinical team Jen, Sammy, Jeff, and Ron were of the next level and facilitated amazing groups. Jen was my clinician, probably the best therapist I ve had in my life. Also huge shout out to the RS s Sue and Ray! It was nice walking in to smiling faces everyday. Staff cares. Also you get taken horse back riding year round and kayaking in the summer (optional).Between staff and clients, I met some real high quality people. I cannot recommend RCI enough!

I recently had the opportunity to attend Brook and it was truly a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe, supported, and understood. The facility itself is clean, calming, and designed to foster a sense of peace, which really helped me focus on my recovery. The therapists and counselors were incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, offering personalized treatment plans that truly addressed my specific needs. What stood out to me was how invested they were in my progress not just treating me as another patient, but as a person deserving of real, lasting change. The group therapy sessions were powerful, and it was comforting to connect with others in a supportive environment. The holistic approach they take, incorporating mindfulness, physical activity, and therapeutic practices, made a significant difference in my journey. I left the program feeling empowered and equipped with the tools I need to continue thriving in my daily life.I highly recommend Brook to anyone seeking mental health support. I was angry leaving my initial one star review because I felt lied to and deceived. I was told I d be lucky to make it back to this place meaning that I d be dead and not be able to make it back. I was told I would be dead cause of how horrible and defiant I was. I did not like AA was not for me so I was going to die. Many people that worked here told me. My case worker gossiped about me to a whole group of my peers saying one of you is going down a dark road really? These are the people to trust? These are the people getting me better. Also they said the bill would not need to be paid and I kept getting harassed by AP office I believe in Florida? So I was furious. So my initial review was one star and I left out words because I wrote a nasty review and had to erase them.I wanted to come back and edit my one star review to a five star. Cause here I am, over 5 years later, still going strong as ever in my recovery, and I have a place that is mine, I have a good steady job, and I m free of the chains of addiction. Whether I like it or not, my experience here is what lead me to where I am today. There was some amazing staff that was overworked and under paid so if by some grace of god they are still there, god bless. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say they were trying reverse psychology on me, the staff talking crap about me to other peers, the staff saying I d be dead. But they were not that smart, they genuinely were telling me I was hopeless. I won t name you but I know that you know who you are.Now I sit here over 5 years later thinking that maybe if you did not spend so much time talking down and being hateful and judgmental to me, maybe all my brothers in program with me that are dead now, would still be alive if you paid them that energy. But it is what it is right? I don t equate my success to NEATC, hell no. I put my success on my shoulders. I easily could have taken yall saying I d be dead soon and actually gone and died. But I didn t. I spit in all your faces and I proved all of you wrong. I did it for me. I did it for my brothers who died due to the lack of care they received wether insurance was poor or you just focused more on me being defiant than their complacent obedience to your AA. What works for some does not work for all. It s your hate that drove the fight in me to succeed. I see my brothers in the program with me that never will get to share their smiles with the world, I can share the smile they taught me. I can share their message and I will not let them down. That s why I have 5 stars. This place did exactly what it needed to. Just like life, drove me insane, judged me, hate on me, gave me a place to live full of rats and mice, financial issues to battle, had to face death, had to hear pain like no other, and was not the smoothest ride. But through the pain and darkness of life there is always light, you can be that light. You can change. Amidst all the bad, there was a handful of AMAZING staff and people that gave me a real life experience I will never ever ever forget. Just like life this place is not perfect, we need to take the challenges and push on. I loved this place. And always will. This place did heal me. Not how I wanted but how I needed. Just like real life. I noticed my growth as I wanted to change my one star review. Even after all the trouble, I pushed through and fought and still see the light. I am still a light that will not be dimmed. And this place is a HUGE part of the reason I am who I am today. An amazing light in a dark dark world. This place put a challenge in front of me, life is not easy, you need to put in the work, and when life punches, you need to punch back harder.Thank you NEATC and the amazing staff I can t imagine would still be working here but if you are I love you. Forever I love you, and miss you, and wish you the best. I would love to come speak one day at an event, I don t live close by anymore but I d love to make something so please contact. Anyone wondering if they should come here, yes. Yes you should.

October 27, 2024 EveningThe medical practice at the Carney Hospital Seton Building Department of Behavioral Health, 2110 Dorchester Avenue Dorchester, Massachusetts 02124 is from my experience skillfully managed with a first rate Psychiatrist PhysicianDr. Ying Buckley on staff. The office is rather a plain moderate size in an older medical facility. The clinician is thorough with a review of medical history, current medications, family and social backgrounds including housing situations and asked pertinent questions with sympathy and compassion related to the evaluation and assessment process. It is apparent to me that she has a detailed knowledge of psychiatry medicine.Since my second visit I have taken the medical advice as discussed. As a result I am able to handle stress and complicated tasks better. Now at this point I am most confident to be in good hands for treatment of my mental health conditions. And the Secretary verified that my insurance is accepted, which is a Medicare Advantage Senior Care Options Plan.Thank you gratefully for your important medical services for the Boston community.

Bedrock Mental Health has saved me from suicidal ideations more than once. The first time I spent two weeks there, and when I needed help again this autumn, I knew exactly where to return it. The entire facility is impressive, especially compared to the constrictive environments of most mental health facilities, especially across the state of Massachusetts. Bedrock s quality is consistent - impeccable cleanliness, nutritious warm delicious meals three times per day, group facilitators who care about patients beyond the group room, behavioral health techs that make an effort to make patients feel included, supported and love. When I was there this past May, it was a quick two week stay for me, and I made it through the summer with manageable mental health, holding down a full time job. Dealing with major depressive disorder, I returned to Bedrock Mental Health this September and stayed for four weeks straight, doubling the length of my prior visit .. an easy decision knowing how much I got out of Ark Behavioral Health the first time around. I work in treatment myself, and Bedrock operates with care in what feels like a family style setting - all of the staff across all departments have interpersonal positive relationships which radiate positive energy throughout the treatment center. I benefited from groups on DBT, CBT, ACT, boundaries, coping skills and more. Four days per week they have outside fitness instructors come in to facilitate classes like yoga and pound class. The art studio is used several times per week and even accessible for patients to access materials around the clock. The outdoor patio includes outside furniture, a ping pong table, cornhole, a basketball hoop, and more. Patients also have daily time with cell phones, which is unique to a mental health inpatient program. There s a gym, a movie theatre, private connecting bathrooms to the rooms. Most importantly, the 24/7 fully staffed nursing unit is second to none in the field of mental health. The nurses truly work for the patients, offer comfort and a lending hand, and work all day to ensure patient vitality and to put smiles on patients. This is the only inpatient mental health facility that I would send a loved one because I experienced it first hand and felt extremely safe on the unit the entire time. There s also nightly outside AA and NA commitments, and two days per week there s peer led recovery meetings with other units. This entire program is well thought out and truly a place to get stabilized, get help, have medication monitored, and to leave better than when coming in.
