I have known Turning Point to be a person-centered organization that offers folks, affected by substance use disorder, an opportunity to heal in and contribute to the recovery community. The Washburne house is hands down the best DETOX/CSS In the State. I ve been to probably all of them and I ve never had a better experience. I went in October 2024 broken, lost my spouse of 20 yrs my business, my truck, and my apartment. I was negative about my future and ready to not even try. When I left I went to the facility I wanted to go, I was positive, and for the first time of many times trying in the past Im really serious and ready to stay sober. I can t say enough or express how much the BHTS CASEWORKER/CLINICIANS MDS/NURSING, and the kitchen and House Kitchen staff have made an impact on my stay. I would and will recommend anyone who wants to get there life together and seriously change the Washburn house is a place that will make you feel welcome and give you all the tools and support to continue and get you where you need to go on your journey to sobriety. All around GREAT staff! First time going into detox, I was very stressed and scared! From the time I called admissions to when they returned my call and set up a pick up time, everything went so smooth. As for admissions, it was a little long but once I got up to my room, I was treated very kindly. They definitely made sure I was comfortable and gave me enough time to feel better before getting into group activities. Once I started going to groups, my counselor Timmy was the best part of my recovery. I even told him while I was there that his kind words and how he conducted groups just helped me and made me see a different way of life. He believed in me when I didn t believe in myself and gave me the daily kick in the butt even when I wasn t in the mood or too tired for groups! Your help and dedication will always mean so much to me!! Today marks my two months of being sober and I have to thank the whole Adcare team for being a part of my journey, I am now doing Great, life is better and also got a promotion at work. I spent eight weeks at Blue Hills Recovery (Residential PHP) My experience was very very good. I can say that after reflecting on the person who was admitted and the person who finished and the difference it made. I mean as far as the way I felt and my ability to have a daily program, to talk about things going on my life much easier , having a little more discipline, and definitely more confidence in myself. I owe much of this to the therapeutic and community oriented program at Blue Hills. Bedrock Mental Health has saved me from suicidal ideations more than once. The first time I spent two weeks there, and when I needed help again this autumn, I knew exactly where to return it. The entire facility is impressive, especially compared to the constrictive environments of most mental health facilities, especially across the state of Massachusetts. Bedrock s quality is consistent - impeccable cleanliness, nutritious warm delicious meals three times per day, group facilitators who care about patients beyond the group room, behavioral health techs that make an effort to make patients feel included, supported and love. When I was there this past May, it was a quick two week stay for me, and I made it through the summer with manageable mental health, holding down a full time job. Dealing with major depressive disorder, I returned to Bedrock Mental Health this September and stayed for four weeks straight, doubling the length of my prior visit .. an easy decision knowing how much I got out of Ark Behavioral Health the first time around. I work in treatment myself, and Bedrock operates with care in what feels like a family style setting - all of the staff across all departments have interpersonal positive relationships which radiate positive energy throughout the treatment center. I benefited from groups on DBT, CBT, ACT, boundaries, coping skills and more. Four days per week they have outside fitness instructors come in to facilitate classes like yoga and pound class. The art studio is used several times per week and even accessible for patients to access materials around the clock. The outdoor patio includes outside furniture, a ping pong table, cornhole, a basketball hoop, and more. Patients also have daily time with cell phones, which is unique to a mental health inpatient program. There s a gym, a movie theatre, private connecting bathrooms to the rooms. Most importantly, the 24/7 fully staffed nursing unit is second to none in the field of mental health. The nurses truly work for the patients, offer comfort and a lending hand, and work all day to ensure patient vitality and to put smiles on patients. This is the only inpatient mental health facility that I would send a loved one because I experienced it first hand and felt extremely safe on the unit the entire time. There s also nightly outside AA and NA commitments, and two days per week there s peer led recovery meetings with other units. This entire program is well thought out and truly a place to get stabilized, get help, have medication monitored, and to leave better than when coming in.

Since I started going here about 4 years ago I got a great therapist named Justin Mertz. We hit it off on day one and had a great professional relationship up to his untimely death. I was assigned a new therapist named Lindsay Fox. Her and I hit it off great. Lindsay and I are working hard on my care just like I had with Justin. We do a 50/50 conversation. Also I had very good interactions with the Nurse Practitioners at New Beginnings. They all are great and good resources for psychiatric medications. Thank you all at New Beginnings.
