October 27, 2024 EveningThe medical practice at the Carney Hospital Seton Building Department of Behavioral Health, 2110 Dorchester Avenue Dorchester, Massachusetts 02124 is from my experience skillfully managed with a first rate Psychiatrist PhysicianDr. Ying Buckley on staff. The office is rather a plain moderate size in an older medical facility. The clinician is thorough with a review of medical history, current medications, family and social backgrounds including housing situations and asked pertinent questions with sympathy and compassion related to the evaluation and assessment process. It is apparent to me that she has a detailed knowledge of psychiatry medicine.Since my second visit I have taken the medical advice as discussed. As a result I am able to handle stress and complicated tasks better. Now at this point I am most confident to be in good hands for treatment of my mental health conditions. And the Secretary verified that my insurance is accepted, which is a Medicare Advantage Senior Care Options Plan.Thank you gratefully for your important medical services for the Boston community.

When I was young (about 4 years old) my brother (also about the same age) had autism and I had severe attachment issues with my mother. The Headstart program here, according to my mother, changed her life. She told me two weeks ago about how a social worker once arrived in her apartment and solemnly reported that she felt bad that my mother, a single mother, had to go through raising two difficult young children. But the people at Headstart were patient and took care of me when I was young. I still have fond memories of crying incoherently due to my levels of stress, but then being quietly reassured by the staff. I miss the people here. I will always be tearful when thinking about this place. They did so much for me and my mom. They were the sweetest people on Earth.

This is easily the best Sober House experience I've ever had. Boston EcoSober House is professionally licensed and run, and the house itself is safe, clean and well maintained. There is a vib of respect and most of the time I would describe the place as 'laidback'. The rules are common sense (be active in recovery, wear shoes in the house). The house challenged me just enough to to take responsibility for rebuilding my life while also providing me the independence and flexibility I needed for school and personal/family opportunities.

I wanted to take a few moments out of my day to acknowledge the staff at the Bradston street clinic. Especially Keiwon Crump.I don't usually write reviews... However, there is NO WAY that I could let this staff (and again, especially Keiwon) go without writing just how amazing, patient, understanding, and caring this establishment treats ALL of the people who walk through the door. (All due to the staff). The environment that Keiwon has brilliantly created there begins with staff at the door - whom without fail, always greets nearly each individual with a smile. If you have any concerns or questions, they are always ready and willing to make sure that before you walk out the door that whatever it is you may need is handled. At the front desk is where Keiwon typically mans the clinic. As you can imagine, there is a large variety of things that get sent through that station and in my experience I have never seen Keiwon look overwhelmed or be anything but cool, calm, and collected, and of course, professional! He is definitely the "go to guy" for any information of what you may need. He is very knowledgeable and always steers clients in the proper direction. I can't think of a single day he hasn't been there working, even all weekend (and what seems like) every weekend as well, on top of the regular work week. And I want to make sure I don't send the wrong information, Keiwon is working and over seeing FAR more than the front desk. That just seems to be where he works his magic from! The Bradston street clinic is lucky to have Keiwon to say the least. In my opinion, I get the feeling of why he is so compassionate about his job is 2-fold: (1) because he clearly is someone with integrity when it comes to his level of professionalism (2) he goes above and beyond for everyone because he really truly cares for the well being of the people walking through the door.Keiwon makes me want to go back into recruiting because he is definitely a stellar employee and just an all around amazing professional!!! He could work anywhere and with anyone. That's not a quality you can learn and is hard to find.I'm not sure if I should be writing this, but should anyone be looking for a once and a lifetime employee, check this guy out. In my experience when you work somewhere for a while and you are known to be a 100% trustworthy and responsible employee (to the point the top level staff sleeps better and night knowing they have less worries when Keiwon Crump is there) the more and more responsibilities you pick up but more often than not it doesn't benefit your paycheck. I only say that because I'm sure many professionals know this and have experienced it. It always happens to professionals who are dedicated like Keiwon!Thank you Bradston street staff for always helping my day start off happier!!!

We weren't there very long , the staff was compassionate and kind , the PT and OT were like clock work , very regular . The building is surrounded ,on the back and sides , by a wooded lot with picnic tables, beautiful statuary , paved walking paths which are handicapped accessible, a children's playground, and a lovely gazebo. We found it hard to feel like we were in the city. The peaceful surroundings(which you cannot see from the road) helped us to find times of rest from the stressful reason we were there.

How Much Does Drug Rehab Cost in Boston?

Boston is the 18th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $63165. This is higher than the average cost of $56725 for addiction treatment in Massachusetts and higher than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.

The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Boston vary widely and depend on several factors, including:

Comparing the Cost of Rehab in Boston

The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.

These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.

How to Pay for Addiction Treatment in Boston?

There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Boston. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Boston that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Boston.

Top Insurers for Drug Rehab in Boston

    Drug Use in Boston

Boston has the 336th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Suffolk county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Boston or Suffolk county as a whole.

    Drug Related Crime in Boston

In 2023, Boston had the 54th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 1191 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.

Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Boston.
