Vivian is an incredible CNA and human being. Her thoughtfulness and sense of caring for others is always in the forefront. Our family could have some peace knowing she was there, caring for my mom and others in 2West. It takes a very special and loving person to do that job. Any rehab patient and St Josephs are both very lucky to have her!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Great psychiatric help! I do not think there is a better place in the area to receive professional help, they are the best, they really know the work they do.

Some of the staff need to learn how to treat the clients and members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints better. Alot of discrimination going on there. I love being a service missionary here. The staff However they need more training some of them just shouldn't be working there.....Never put a family member here.

We are grateful.and feel blessed that my mother Marilyn White was welcomed to St. Joseph's Villa on October 3,2024. Unfortunately her entry started out with a mishap in the case of a missing valuable & sentimental personal artical of clothing. On this same day she arrived to the villa she had just been released from the U of U hospital and I have confirmed with their staff that she departed wearing the same items that she arrived by ambulance in . Having days earlier just taken of the tags in total value equaling over $79.00 of my hard earned money. I sent her to wear it for the first time to the U of U emergency & then onto St Joseph's so that she would feel comfortable & confident in a hospital setting. Upon arrival to St. Joseph's she recalls very clearly that the attending nurse on staff at that time helped her off with her blouse & into a hospital gown. This item has since been missing from her closet in RM.1236. I have been told that it could possibly be in laundry but that was over 4 days ago W/ no sign of it nor real help with return. Please address this issue of valued personal item missing or (taken ? ) because it is so upsetting to my Mother and I and we can not afford to replace it. Also so that the return of it would sucure our faith in your staff and facility with out having a sence of loss.I hope to post very positive review in resolution to this personal & ethical matter!

My good friend (age 70) is there for rehab after falling off a ladder and fracturing ribs, hip and pelvis. They take him to the gym every day and make sure he is ready to go home!

This place was a complete waste of my mother's benefits. She went there due to a fall and not being strong enough to do stairs at home after being at the hospital and doing physical therapy there for 7 days. St. Joseph's absolutely had to have her admitted on a Friday afternoon due to staffing. No physical therapy Sat, Sun, Mon-evaluation discussion, Tue-more evaluation discussion, Wed-they gave her medicine that made her sick so no physical therapy. For 5 days they never once took her to the physical therapy room or had her get up and walk - absolutely NOTHING! I would NOT recommend this place at all. Food is horrible and staff are NOT helpful what so ever.

St. Joseph villa is not a good place. The place is not run properly. They committed Medicare fraud when my mom was in there. The medal frames on the bathroom doors rusted through. Chris, the collector for payments, treated my mom very disrespectfully. The place smelled of pee. The nurse manager spoke condensing to me when I brought up my concerns about the metal frames that my mom could catch her toe on. Please do not send your loved ones there
