After countless hours working with different therapists, psychologists, and various specialists, I finally was given a chance to move forward from a road block diagnosis given to me after 30 minutes with a doctor in Acadia as a teenager. I literally cried at my initial assessment when Chris was willing to try a new route and actually hear my story. They blood test you, which can be a glaringly obvious source of internal dysfunction. They refer you for testing and therapy. This is the one place I have not felt bullied into taking one type of medication that has no positive aspects for me. If MBH wasn't it for you, keep looking. Eventually you will find someone who is willing to help you.

I have known Turning Point to be a person-centered organization that offers folks, affected by substance use disorder, an opportunity to heal in and contribute to the recovery community. As a neurodivergent woman, I appreciate the self-directed nature of the center where I have been empowered to create an experience that works for me.I have been encouraged to ask for anything I need that might be invisible to staff with a different lived experience. As a peer, member and volunteer, I have been given a voice and a seat at the table. The services are all free of charge which has been a game-changer for me as a single parent on an excruciatingly tight budget.Turning Point has helped me remove access barriers to important resources and this has helped me to make major shifts in my life. I'm grateful for this all-pathways peer recovery center where we can grow and learn together.

I LOVE this place and the people in it. It changed my life and made me a better man. The case managers Bri, JP, Vic, and Ria are some of the most helpful, caring, and resourceful people you will ever meet xoxo . They truly go above and beyond to make sure your transition through the stages of recovery are as stress free as possible, no matter what complication might arise. The variety of therapy in groups is amazing. It is a very open and caring environment with REAL people giving you honest guidance through a wide range range of life's troubles. Each of the therapists has their own style of therapy that gets the most out of each group. They are geniuses when it comes to recovery and care so much about the well-being of each client. I will miss coming here every day. I just love all these people so much. Thank you for everything OSRC.
