I recently stayed at Covington Behavioral for 8 days due to suicide ideation and self harm. This place isn t perfect, if you re looking for daily one on one therapy sessions during your stay it likely won t happen not all the nurse practitioners seem to care but it s the few people there who genuinely love their job that made this experience worth it in my eyes. For context I am queer and FTM, and if you fall into that category then PLEASE please ask for David to be your social worker. He truly is amazing and the conversations we had really changed my perspective and it is something I ll always remember.Having a structured schedule day to day, eating three meals (including snacks between them), having group and recreational time honestly did a lot for me. It felt like I could breathe for the first time and reflect on who I am outside of work and all that adult shit none of us wanna do. Overall, it s a decent place and I feel like it genuinely helped me. They found a psychiatrist office for me and sent me home with meds that I m hoping due the trick.

Hi a former patient on the childrens side of the institute This is a safe place for children my age or any age who want to kill/harm themselves Nurses are sweet and caring to all children like they are their own especially this one lady so sad i couldn t remember her name she was such a graceful woman i am happily satisfied with my experience!

Avenues is a wonderful program. The staff members are very helpful, understanding, and are in recovery themselves. Id recommend anyone to Avenues who is battling with addiction.
