About La Mission

Located in San Bernardino, California, La Mission is an alcohol and drug rehab center that provides addiction treatment and treatment for individuals living with co-occurring disorders through a wide continuum of care that includes detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and medication-assisted treatment.

The detoxification program is provided at the initial stages of the residential stay so individuals can be overseen by staff. Withdrawal management, mental health treatment, and support in preparing for ongoing recovery services are provided.

The residential program provides 24/7 supervision to individuals who need a high level of care at the initial stages of treatment. Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, psychoeducational classes on a wide variety of topics related to addiction and recovery, and skills-building classes are provided. The goal of this program is to help individuals identify the underlying reasons for their addictive tendencies while teaching them healthy helping mechanisms to manage life’s challenges.

The medication-assisted treatment program is offered on an outpatient basis or during the residential stay. FDA-approved medications are combined with mental health counseling and relapse prevention services.
The outpatient program provides continued care upon completion of the residential program through mental health counseling and self-help groups.

La Mission Invites individuals to contact them to discuss payment and insurance options. If a person wants to use their insurance, they are encouraged to contact the provider because out-of-network benefits may vary from plan to plan.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
