This could be the best place in town for people who need help adjusting themselves to live after incarceration. The staff are very genuine and loving with all the people no matter their condition, their priority is providing help. This center is faith-based which is very useful too. I love all about this place, they have helped me in an incredible way, I never will be able to pay them for all they have done for me.

I can definitely say this was an experience for the books. I was in detox for 11 days and had a couple of bad reactions to medications I was starting on, I really thought about giving up because I felt so horrible. My insurance only paid for 21 days so I only had 10 days of being out of detox. But the things I've learned in that amount of time and the therapy and love I received surpassed all the negative things that went on. I'm super grateful for Candice for getting me in as fast as she did, for the recovery coaches who give their heart and soul to the job, to the therapist Brittany and chasidy for showing me love and helping me out as much as they did. For the nursing staff, for the food that was prepared for us everyday and last but not least for the tools that I was able to add to my toolbox so I can continue to work on myself each day.10/3/24

I had such a great experience at Avenues!! I came in knowing nothing about the place and I was very nervous but the staff were so welcoming even the kitchen staff. Staffanie, Danielle, and Rachel were all soo kind and helpful when I had some issues come up and wanted to go home, they talked me into staying for the remainder of the program and I'm soo thankful that I did. Ha ha ha I just want to say I haven't been able to breath for 14 days and it's not their fault.Ha ha haI would rather laugh then cry I've been singing anyway!!!It's Halloween.Omg I ate food and I still can't breath.I refuse to believe that someone is in control of me and the passed 14 days have been HELL!!!!It's not really their fault though it's a pharmaceutical companies fault.I decided that this whole recovery thing is not a good idea because I can't live like this ha ha haI mean don't get me wrong I'm really good at stuff but if this lasts for more than a month I have to do something about it.Omg....I can't believe this is happening ha ha haThere's nothing that will fix it!!!Omg ha ha haHey everybody I'm gonna leave all my good reviews but i honestly feel like I'm gonna .Ya know...Spend the rest of my life not being able to breath and they said my oxygen intake is 98%.I refuse to spend this long ever again feeling like this I cannot except this anymore this is wrong.I need to go the other way.Im switching we are not doing this anymore.Whether they like it or not I...Am switching ha ha I don't even need them to switch ha ha What happened everybody is they gave me a controlled substance that is what I need, and I stopped taking it!It's been 14 days so I stopped taking every drug they offered!!!And i still feel like i can't breath from the moment I wake up till the moment I go to sleep.So I'm going to go get the last prescription they gave me and clear it.Maybe dump it down the toilet because YES their drug cures the pain...But the longer I go without it the more strength I get.These guys might actually be truly evil ha haBut I will leave them 5 stars They are like a bully who needs lunch money okay.DO NOT GET STARTED especially with Xanex.That drug is highly addictive and it's either the absence of that chemical or....My lungs are damaged I think it's actually the drug.I'm prescribed the opposite but they give me that...So I guess learn from our mistakes.

I was a resident here when i was in 7th grade until a little bit into my freshman year of highschool. I came into the residential with a lot of mental and aggression issues. Yes some of the staff were mean, but i honestly feel like they do that purposely. Not every body in life is going to treat you special just because of the things you've been through. You have to learn to cope with the real outside world or you will never make it. The staff tried their best to make it as best as possible. When every one in the cottage was being safe they took us to the movies, or to the park for a cookout. Some staff even went to the store and made homemade food for holidays like christmas and easter. We got presents for christmas and we weren't just stuck in the cottage. Everybody is in there for different reasons and the amount of kids in one cottage is quite a lot. Sometimes things do go down. I've seen staff organize peer mediations and even ive had to work it out with some of my peers. I struggled a lot to find myself and the enthusiasm to do better. Now i am a junior in highschool and too this day im still close friends with some of the kids and staff i met there. I recommend this place before any of my other residentials.Shout out to Ms.Nette, Ms.Aries, Ms.Keisha, Mr.Jeff, one of my teachers Mrs.Winters, and my therapist Mrs.Amanda.
